Brawl Stars Season 53: Updated Tier List and Best Brawlers

Brawl Stars Season 53, officially known as Windstock, is live and shaking up the meta in a massive way. Unlike previous seasons that wiped your power progress clean, the NanoPowers from last season carry over, but now we’re getting Fusions stacked on top. There are 106 Fusions spread across the four familiar rarities, earned from Smoothie Drops. These variants completely replace your active power, meaning loadouts are deeper and more customized than ever.

With the recent balance patch hitting hard, the top of the ladder looks quite different. Some heavy hitters took direct nerfs to their base kits, while others held onto their spots. If you're trying to push trophies in Ranked or just want to dominate your favorite mode, this tier list will show you exactly what to play and what to avoid.

Best Brawl Stars Brawlers: S-Tier

If you want the absolute safest picks for any map, the brawlers in S-Tier are the way to go. They bring the most consistent results whether you're queuing with a coordinated team or randoms.

• Surge: The absolute king of the current meta. Even after taking a mild nerf (his unload speed went from 400 to 470 and Power Shield ammo dropped from 2 to 1), he remains the safest bet in the game. He simply works in every composition.
• Nori: If you're playing with friends, Nori is a no-brainer. The triple Nori team is currently the winningest comp on record, boasting over 53,000 wins. In Solo Showdown, her win rate sits at a very comfortable 55.3%.
• Sirius: The most popular brawler out there right now, holding a 49.8% solo win rate. His base kit completely avoided the nerf hammer; only his NanoPowers were touched (shadow health down from 40% to 30%), so he's still a powerhouse in standard modes.
• Starr Nova: Before the nerfs, she was an absolute menace pushing a 70% win rate, but she took the heaviest hits in the patch. Her health dropped from 4,000 to 3,700, her reload is slower, and Floaty Time was cut from 10s to 7s. Expect her to slide down to A-Tier as the meta settles.

A-Tier Brawlers and Meta Picks

A-Tier is packed with amazing brawlers that just need the right map or a player who knows how to maximize their potential.

• Bolt: The biggest sleeper of the patch. His adjusted win rate peaked at 75.7%. While his Super shield was nerfed from 40% to 30%, he's still dominating because very few players know how to draft against him.
• Brock: The most flexible brawler on the board. He serves as the anchor for three of the top ten trios in the game (often pairing up with Byron, Mandy, or Edgar and Piper).
• Damian: Pushing a massive 70.0% win rate, but you have to keep the recent nerfs in mind. His fire punch and explosion damage both dropped from 1,000 to 800, and his Super speaker's health took a massive hit from 2,000 down to 1,500.
• Griff and Emz: Both are staples in high-level teams. Griff had his Piggy Bank explosion radius reduced from 800 to 600, but he’s still top-tier for area control.

Other solid names in this tier include Bibi, Chester, and Cordelius. Just be careful when playing Crow, as his main attack damage was nerfed from 380 to 320.

Brawlers with the lowest win rates

There's a weird phenomenon in the current meta: a lot of players are picking brawlers that are almost guaranteed to lose unless played flawlessly.

• Edgar: He is the most popular pick in Solo Showdown at 11.58%, but his win rate is a tragic 36.9%. With a team feeding him, he's great; on his own, it's a total coin flip.
• Mortis: Top 200 players make him look like an S-Tier god, but for the average player, his solo win rate sits at 31.1%. If you miss your mechanics, you're going back to the lobby instantly.
• Kit and Max: Both suffered nerfs to their Super charge rates (dropped to 80). They are still playable, but your margin for error is tiny now.

Wendy: New Brawler abilities

Hitting the game in mid-August, Season 53 introduces Wendy, the 106th brawler. Her kit screams "meta," heavily focused on aggressive shielding for team play.

• Main Attack (Blow Dryer): Deals 2,400 damage while applying shields simultaneously: 1,386 to herself, or a 2,000 shield if it hits a teammate.
• Super (Planet Protector): Drops a generator that absorbs a ridiculous 75% of all damage taken by her or any allies inside its radius.
• Trait: She walks on water and charges her Super whenever her shields take damage.

With Star Powers like Solar Shield (adding +2,000 healing to the generator) and Slowing Shield (slowing enemies inside the radius), Wendy is going to redefine how control modes are played very soon.
