Recently, Calamity has become one of the most talked-about titles in the gaming scene. It’s no coincidence: it combines intense mechanics, direct competition, and a reward system that can return up to 5 times your investment… if you don’t mess up.
Here’s how its economy works, what you need to get in, and how to make the most out of the season.

How to Earn Money in Calamity
The foundation is simple:
- There’s a reward pool ($WYRM Reward Pool).
- Your position on the Leaderboard determines what portion of that pool you get each day.
The higher you rank, the bigger your share. The pool fills up as players invest in the game, and you compete to take the juiciest slice.
Where the Pool Money Comes From
- Season Pass: costs USD 20, with USD 18 going to the pool and USD 2 going directly to you as internal rewards.
- Dungeon Tickets: cost between USD 0.50 and USD 1.50 (max 60 per event), and 100% goes to the pool.
- Gold purchases: for personal use only, not added to the pool.

How Rewards Are Distributed
Every day the pool is split according to the current leaderboard.
- Today you may be Top 1 and take the biggest prize.
- Tomorrow you may fall to Top 1,000 and get much less.
💡 Difficulty DOES matter: harder dungeons = more points and more rewards.
The Key to Climbing the Leaderboard
- Complete dungeons. There are 9 dungeons per Level.
- Do them fast. Ranking points also consider dungeon clear time.
Also, Stage 9 now requires a crafted key made from shards that you can farm or buy. These shards will be one of the most coveted resources of the season, so the earlier you get them, the better.
The new system also includes an in-game shop where you can:
- Buy dungeon runs.
- Get Time Scrolls that give +25% stats for 1 hour (essential for fast runs).
⚠️ The price of these scrolls increases with every purchase: USD 1.50 → USD 2 → USD 2.50 and so on.
Options to Risk and Earn More
- Fishing 🎣: buy bait (20 gold) and you can win from nothing to large amounts of gold.
- PvP Duel: face other players betting resources.
- Dice: gambling with in-game currency.
Must-Have Buffs During P2A
- Rings💍: Give you an XP boost percentage and extra daily loot.
- Time Scrolls⏳: essential in competitive runs. Remember their price scales with each purchase.
How to Play Smarter
- Get familiar with the game on Epic Games Store or Steam before the season starts.
- Prioritize fast runs to climb positions quicker.
- Collect shards from day one or buy them before their value spikes.
- Sell high-level gear quickly to slower players to generate gold and dominate the shard market.
In short: better gear = more gold = more control over key resources.
Estimated Costs to Compete Seriously
- Season Pass: USD 20
- Dungeon Runs: ~USD 50
- Buffs: ~USD 10
- Gold: ~USD 20
💰 Total estimated: USD 100+ per season (may vary depending on pace and strategy).
Earning Potential
If the final pool reaches current projections (USD 50K – USD 100K+), a well-ranked player could get:
- Expected return: x3 – x5 on initial investment.
- Extra gains in game tokens.
Calamity is not a game for those just looking to chill. It’s a constant sprint where time, planning, and daily adaptability decide whether you multiply your investment or fall out of the big payouts. If you enjoy challenges with real rewards, now’s the time to prepare your runs.
