What's up, everyone. October is here with a brand-new meta on the horizon, and if you were planning to keep abusing the Cannon Evolution, we have some bad news. As highlighted by community stat trackers like RoyaleAPI, this structure was dominating use rates, but the latest Clash Royale balance changes have landed, bringing a solid shake-up to our usual strategies in the arena.
We are seeing everything from heavy hits to the most-used control cards, to some much-needed love for classic win conditions that spent months forgotten. Let's break down exactly who is moving up, who is moving down, and how your favorite deck looks heading into the new season.
Control and fast-cycle decks took the heaviest hits in this round of changes. Here are the most significant downgrades:

If you missed playing aggressive decks, this patch has you covered. Direct-attack cards got plenty of love to help balance the scales.

The Golden Knight also spent some time in the workshop. Damage goes up by 5% (to 168), but its dash range shrinks by 9% (down to 5 tiles). This compensates for a targeting change: attacks now lock onto the edge of a collision radius instead of the center, making his reach more consistent.
Finally, a few bugs were squashed. The Elite Barbarians Evolution now has an increased vision range for their spear attack (from 4.5 to 6 tiles) so they don't ignore troops. The Royal Ghost also received a technical 1% damage increase just to fix a level 16 interaction against the Electro Wizard.
Now is the perfect time to dust off those old decks and see what works best today. The arena already feels completely different, and aggressive push-heavy strategies might just dominate the upper ladder again.
