What's up, trainers! If you're out hitting the streets looking for your next shiny or gearing up for this month's raids, I've got some good news. Pokémon GO is going hard this May 2026, and to make sure you don't run out of resources, we've compiled all the codes that the developers currently have active.

As you already know, the life of a mobile player requires constantly farming. Whether you are a rural player who struggles to spin enough PokéStops, or a hardcore raider chaining five-star lobbies in the city, free items are always a massive help. Niantic drops these promotional codes periodically to celebrate collaborations, esports streams, or just to give the community a little boost. Here, you will find everything you need to make the most of the season.

Below is the full list of codes available to redeem right now. Keep in mind that some may have a short expiration date (especially those from Twitch streams), so activate them as soon as possible:

How to redeem Pokémon GO codes step by step

If you've been playing for a while, you'll know that things have changed a bit. As of recently, if you play on Android, you can no longer redeem codes directly within the app via the text box at the bottom of the shop. Niantic unified the system to bypass app store fees. For iOS users, this is nothing new since it was never an in-app option.

To redeem, the process is super simple and completely official:

  1. Open your favorite mobile or desktop browser and visit the official Pokémon GO Web Store.
  2. Log in using the exact same account you have linked to your game (Google, Facebook, or Niantic Kids). Double-check your email if you have multiple accounts!
  3. Look for the 'Offer Redemption' section and enter the code exactly as I dropped it above.
  4. Click "Apply."
  5. You're done! The next time you open the game, you'll receive a pop-up notification confirming that the items are already in your inventory.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why is my code saying 'Invalid' or 'Expired'? Most codes have a strict time limit or a maximum number of redemptions globally. If you copy-pasted correctly and it still fails, the code has likely expired.

Can I redeem the same code twice? No. All promotional codes are strictly one per account.

Pokémon GO events and bonuses in May 2026

It's not all about codes. This month of May is loaded with activities, so those extra items will come in handy. For starters, the regular Community Day features Lechonk. If you evolve it during the event, it will learn the fast attack Mud Slap, plus you get double catch candy and one-hour Lure Modules.

If you're looking to catch some classics, don't miss the Classic Community Day, where Deino will be spawning everywhere. Evolve it into Hydreigon, and it will get the powerful Dark-type charged attack Brutal Swing.

On the other hand, if you have the seasonal GO Ticket (which offers a free and premium version), you can farm useful items like Lucky Eggs, Incense, and up to 1,400 PokéCoins in total if you hold the paid version. Reaching the max level guarantees an encounter with the legendary beast Suicune.

Ultra Beasts Return to Raids

Ultra Beasts are also returning to five-star raids. Get those teams ready because they hit hard:

  • Nihilego (Rock/Poison): Bring your best Ground-type attackers (like Groudon or Garchomp) to deal massive 4x damage.
  • Buzzwole & Pheromosa (Bug/Fighting): Both take 4x damage from Flying-type moves. Time to dust off that Rayquaza!
  • Xurkitree (Electric): Weak only to Ground.
  • Mega Falinks will also debut on the Super Raid Day.

With all this information and your pockets full of gifts thanks to the codes, you're ready to dominate the streets and the raids. See you at the next PokéStop!
