How to Get Strong Acid in Subnautica 2 – Complete Guide

Strong Acid is an important ingredient in Subnautica 2, especially for crafting vehicles like the Tadpole. Do not confuse it with Mild Acid. To obtain it you will need to collect Necrolei Cysts and craft it in a Processor.

Strong Acid is crafted by combining 2 Necrolei Cysts in a Processor.

Where to find Necrolei Cysts

Necrolei Cysts are obtained from Stilt Orbs, green alien plants with pink tentacles. They are mainly found near the Old Habitat, about 400 meters north of the Lifepod.

Look for patches of bright pink and green coral. Stilt Orbs grow at the base of these corals. You can easily harvest them with the Survival Multitool.

Best farming spot: Just west of the Old Habitat there is a large coral field full of Stilt Orbs. This is the most efficient place to collect Necrolei Cysts.

Where to find the Processor

The Processor blueprint is located in the Old Habitat. Go up to the upper level and look for it in a corner near the storage lockers, right under Quaker's Blackbox signal. You only need to scan it once.

Once unlocked, build the Processor at your base and craft Strong Acid when you have enough Necrolei Cysts.

Tip: The Old Habitat is a key location early in the story, so you can get both the Necrolei Cysts and the Processor in a single visit.
