Ronin Network is undergoing one of its most significant transformations since its launch. The shutdown of Mavis Hub, the platform that for years served as the gateway to the ecosystem’s games, marks the beginning of a new era.

With this decision, Sky Mavis is embracing a more open and decentralized model that redefines how players, developers, and collectors interact within Ronin.
Since its debut in 2020, Mavis Hub has been the operational core of the Ronin ecosystem. Through this client, users could easily download, update, and access games like Axie Infinity in a unified and centralized way. Its goal was to streamline the gaming experience in a single application—something essential when the network was still taking shape.
However, the rapid growth of Ronin and the arrival of new studios completely reshaped the landscape. What was once an advantage—a single access point—began to turn into a limitation for an ecosystem that now hosts dozens of independent games.

According to the official announcement from Ronin Network, the decision to close Mavis Hub comes from the need to “make room for a more open and autonomous environment,” where each developer manages their own access and updates.
Sky Mavis explained that this measure aims to decentralize game distribution, reduce dependencies, and open the door to new discovery tools. Instead of relying on a single client, players will now access titles directly through their developers or via Ronin Market, the marketplace that currently concentrates most NFT and collector activity.
Specialized outlets like NFT Game Arena point out that this step also reflects a natural trend: as more projects join the network, maintaining a single access point becomes unsustainable.

This transition will allow independent teams to publish and update their games without depending on Sky Mavis’ infrastructure, while Ronin strengthens its position as a blockchain network for Web3 gaming.
The closure of Mavis Hub doesn’t mark the end of the Ronin experience—it represents its restructuring. Ronin Market has now taken the spotlight as the ecosystem’s operational center. From its interface, users can buy and sell NFTs, explore collections, follow new launches via the Launchpad tab, or try their luck with Fortune Spin, one of the network’s most popular features.
Additionally, the platform offers tracking tools, watchlists, and statistics that help users discover emerging projects and promising collections.
Created by Sky Mavis, Ronin is an EVM-compatible blockchain built for Web3 games. Its main advantages—low fees, high speed, and player focus—have driven its adoption by studios seeking scalable and specialized solutions.
Transitioning to this open model means each developer will now be responsible for their own client or access point. This promotes autonomy but also brings a challenge: maintaining the seamless user experience that characterized Mavis Hub.

In the coming months, the network is expected to introduce new tools that will replace classic functions such as download management and automatic updates.
For players and collectors, this change requires an adjustment period. Titles will no longer be centralized in a single client but distributed across various portals and marketplaces. However, Launchpad and watchlists on Ronin Market will make it easier to track new releases.

Developers, on the other hand, gain more freedom to manage their own updates and visibility. Each studio can define its own distribution strategy, publish assets on the marketplace, and take advantage of Ronin Market’s promotional tools. This opens up a more competitive and dynamic environment across the network.
The shutdown of Mavis Hub marks the end of an era for veteran users but also a logical step toward decentralization. Still, the transition is not without its challenges. Many players will need to adapt to managing multiple access points and sources of information, and there’s no official roadmap yet detailing how all functions from the old client will be replaced.

Nevertheless, the ecosystem shows signs of maturity. Ronin continues to consolidate its position as a reference blockchain for gaming, while Sky Mavis strengthens the foundation for a more flexible and collaborative environment.
