Fortnite x The Mandalorian and Grogu: Event, Rewards, and Exclusive Preview

Epic Games continues expanding Star Wars collaborations inside Fortnite and is now preparing an experience focused on The Mandalorian and Grogu, the upcoming Lucasfilm movie set to arrive in theaters on May 22, 2026.

The event will begin on May 19 and will function as an interactive in-game experience where players can access exclusive content related to the movie before its official release.

An exclusive preview of the movie inside Fortnite

One of the main attractions of the event will be the opportunity to watch an exclusive preview of approximately 10 minutes from The Mandalorian and Grogu. The content will be available directly inside Fortnite and will also include a special message from director Jon Favreau.

The screening will begin on May 19 at 10:00 a.m. ET and will be integrated into the island’s themed experience. Epic Games explained that it will not simply be a viewing room, but rather an interactive environment set within the universe of The Mandalorian.

The island will be inspired by Nevarro

The experience was developed by Fairview Portals and Beyond Creative, studios known for creating maps and experiences within Fortnite Creative.

According to official information, the island will recreate different areas inspired by Nevarro, one of the most recognizable planets from The Mandalorian. Players will be able to explore franchise-inspired environments while completing activities and missions related to Grogu and Din Djarin.

There will be a free reward for participants

In addition to the cinematic content, the event will include a free reward for players who enter the experience.

Several reports indicate that players will be able to unlock an exclusive loading screen called Mandalorian Sanctuary. To obtain it, players will need to remain on the island for approximately 20 minutes and complete certain activities available on the map.

The event is part of Fortnite’s Star Wars season

The collaboration with The Mandalorian and Grogu will not arrive in isolation. Throughout May, Fortnite has been developing a complete schedule dedicated to the Star Wars universe.

Among the announced content are new game modes such as Galactic Siege, Escape Vader, and Droid Tycoon, along with updates for LEGO Fortnite Odyssey and several rewards linked to Disney and Epic Games accounts.
