The Season 3 of Cambria demands quick and precise decisions from the very beginning. In an environment where every death means losing your entire inventory, and where the first days determine the competitive advantage, knowing the progression route, the strengths of each class, and the most profitable activities is essential.

This guide gathers the key elements to advance safely and efficiently during the early stages, even with limited resources.

Fast Start: Leaving the Beginner Island

New characters begin on the tutorial island. The most efficient way to leave is to kill cows to obtain meat and leather, sell all the loot to Cyril, and collect 100 Silver — enough to leave the island without completing the guided missions. This strategy shortens the early phase and lets players reach the main map before most others.

Class Choice: When to Use Ranged and When to Use Melee

Ranger is the strongest option to start with, especially on a low budget. The attack range helps avoid damage, escape hostile players, and reduce losses on death. Leather armor is easily obtained through hunting, removing the need for early mining. Additionally, its gear is cheap and easy to replace.

Melee also works well if the plan is to progress only up to Tier 2. It is an accessible class for learning basic mechanics and performs steadily in both PvE and PvP. A key point in this build is always poisoning the dagger.

Mage, on the other hand, requires costly materials and is not recommended for players starting with limited resources.

First Objective: Crafting the Longbow

For ranged players, the initial weapon is the Longbow.
Required materials:

  • 1 Gleamcloth, crafted with 3 Gleaming Cotton collected from fiber plants.
  • 15 Logs obtained from trees.
  • 1 Thread, available at Sousin’s shop in the city.

Once crafted, arrows are obtained from world containers like pots and crates, which usually drop around 25 units per opening. With this ready, the progression phase begins.

Day 1–10 Progression

Days 1–3: Stability and Essential Resources

The first days should focus on surviving and securing basic resources: food, silver, and initial gear. Fishing and cooking are fundamental since food serves as the main healing source.

During this stage, it is recommended to stay in T1–T2 zones, store all resources in the bank, and avoid dangerous areas with items that cannot be replaced.

Days 4–8: Accumulation and Advancement

Once the basics are secured, the next step is to maintain a steady farming rhythm. T2 zones offer the safest balance between progression and low risk. Mining, woodcutting, fishing, and hunting provide valuable resources for silver or crafting.

Joining a guild helps reduce taxes (around 10% versus 15% solo) and provides protection as well as early access to higher-level gear. It is advisable to deposit resources every 30 minutes to minimize losses.

Days 9–10: Full Focus on Silver

At this stage, silver accumulation becomes the priority. The market usually has low activity, so buying from the AH is not recommended. The best strategy is to save everything for the reward calculation period.

Gear Progression on a Small Budget (0–35 Silver)

Even with limited resources, it is possible to build solid gear:

  • Weapons: Longbow (wood + deer hide) or Crossbow (wood + boar hide).
  • Armor: cow leather → deer leather → reinforced or boar leather.

Crafting your own gear or buying it in the city depends on how much risk the player is willing to take, but investing in high-tier equipment during the first days is generally not recommended.

Combat and Farming Routes

Early Game: Basic Creatures and Skill Leveling

The area near the capital features chickens and low-level monsters, ideal for leveling weapon and defense skills safely.

Intermediate Progression: Minothaurus

Minothaurus are a natural step forward. They are easy to kite for ranged players, help improve spacing and control, and provide enough experience to progress toward T3. The goal is to reach T3 weapon and armor, and raise skills to approximately level 70–75.

Transition to Late Game: Dungeons

Cambria’s dungeons favor ranged players because most enemies are melee and easy to control. They also contain mining deposits useful for crafting superior gear.

If PvP activity is high (indicated by multiple skulls), it is best to switch to another entrance to avoid unnecessary encounters.

A well-organized guild accelerates access to better equipment, provides protection in conflict zones, and supports resource flow. For many players, it is the difference between slow progress and efficient advancement.

Marks System and Silver Generation

Marks are found mainly in dungeon chests and ruins. For low-budget players, the most efficient use is to sell all valuable Marks and convert them into silver instead of spending them on advanced upgrades. A single well-sold mark can fund food, ammo, and gear for the entire season.

Expected results for low-budget players are usually moderate gains or breaking even, but with disciplined strategy it is possible to sustain the whole season without significant losses.

Fishing: One of the Most Profitable Activities of the Season

Fishing plays a central role in both economy and survival. Healing depends on food, so mastering this activity is crucial for every playstyle. Essentials:

  • Fishing is only possible at designated points.
  • A fishing rod is mandatory.
  • The first available fish are trout and cod.

Access to Higher-Level Fish

  • At level 60, Carp becomes available, found only in T3 zones with an Enhanced Fishing Rod.
  • In New Mortis, bait for Carp and Lobster can be purchased.
  • In later stages: Eel in T4 zones and Rockfish inside the Dungeon (requiring Rock Dust obtained from Golems).

Risks and Inventory Management

Starting from T3, players often attack to steal fish, so only the fishing rod, bait, and a basic backpack should be carried. Zones also include mobs designed to prevent AFK fishing. Energy drains simply from being in higher-tier areas.

To avoid overweight, it is recommended to discard items like seaweed when they are not needed.

Fishing Economy

In Matilda’s market, fishing has high economic value and allows players to maintain steady profit throughout the season. The best fish in weight/healing ratio are Eel and Rockfish.

Conclusion

Progression in Cambria Season 3 is based on managing risks, optimizing resources, and choosing safe routes during the first days. Starting with Ranger, following a disciplined farming strategy, using fishing effectively, selling Marks, and joining a guild allow steady advancement regardless of initial budget. With proper planning, it is possible to secure silver, gear, and stability without taking unnecessary risks in dangerous areas.
