How to Complete the Joy of Drifting Photo Challenge in Forza Horizon 6 (Easy & Fast)

The first Weekly Challenge of the Horizon Decades event in Forza Horizon 6 focuses on 1980s cars. The Joy of Drifting Photo Challenge asks you to take a photo of an 80s car while drifting.

How to Complete the Joy of Drifting Photo Challenge

Step 1: Get an 1980s Car

The easiest option is to use the 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 (the same one from the other Weekly Challenge).

• Go to Cars → Buy New and Used Cars → Autoshow.
• Look for the DeLorean category.
• Buy it for 72,000 Credits.

If you already have the DeLorean from the other challenge, use it directly.

Step 2: Drift with the Car

You don’t need to drift for a long time. A clear drift is enough.

Recommended location:
Drive through the streets of Tokyo City. Go over 50 MPH, brake and turn sharply to start drifting. You will hear the tire sound and see the marks on the ground.

Step 3: Take the Photo

1. While drifting (or right after), open Photo Mode:
   • Press Up on the D-Pad (console)
   • Or the P key (keyboard)
2. Focus well on the car.
3. Take the photo.

The score doesn’t matter. You only need the game to detect that you were drifting.

Done! This completes the Joy of Drifting Photo Challenge.

Recommendation: Do this challenge at the same time as Blast from the Past, since both use the DeLorean.
