This guide presents the tier list of the best classes for Horde Siege mode in Gears of War: E-Day. It includes the ranking of each class, the criteria used, and the explanations for each position.
| Tier | Classes |
|---|---|
| S | Medic |
| A | Breacher, Marksman |
| B | Assault |
The Medic class is the best for Horde Siege due to its unmatched utility, while also being able to deal good damage. It also has access to Stim Grenades, which are useful when its Tactical Gear is on cooldown.

| Tier | Explanation |
|---|---|
| S | Classes that have good access to self-sustained survivability and damage against bosses. These classes can shine in any scenario. |
| A | Classes that deal respectable damage and have decent survivability, but not at the level of S-tier classes. |
| B | Classes that deal less damage and are harder to keep alive than those in the higher tiers. |
| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Tier | B |
| Pros | Versatile class with good damage. Tactical Gear can stun enemies. Cover can be improved with mods. |
| Cons | Being versatile means it does not excel at anything in particular. Other classes have a more defined role and loadout options. |

The Assault class deals good damage as a versatile option. Its Tactical Gear can stun a group of enemies, allowing allies to fire freely. Its mods can increase damage against stunned enemies and improve its stats when under cover.
However, apart from the good damage and its Tactical Gear, it has nothing special. The other classes perform their specific roles better.

| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Tier | A |
| Pros | High survivability and decent damage. Tactical Gear functions as another health bar. Can draw enemy aggression to protect allies. |
| Cons | Has no other utility besides drawing enemy aggression. |
The Breacher class has good defense and offense. Adrenaline Injector fully heals it, giving it a second life. It also reduces damage taken and increases damage dealt during its duration. This allows the Breacher class to take close to mid-range fights without fear of dying.
Apart from tanking for allies, it has no other utilities. Its unlocks and loadout options also deal good damage.

| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Tier | A |
| Pros | Can eliminate enemies at all ranges. Reveals enemies with Tactical Gear. Consistent damage at range. |
| Cons | Few defensive options, so it must stay under cover and needs good positioning. Requires good aim. |
The Marksman class has great damage through its loadout and can reveal enemies with its Tactical Gear. Combined with a Smoke Grenade, it allows the team to shoot enemies through the smoke while maintaining cover.
The only downside of the class is that it must use cover and range to maximize its capabilities. The player also needs good aim to land shots with snipers.

| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Tier | S |
| Pros | Has value in any combat scenario. Consistent heals with Tactical Gear. Has multiple ways to revive allies. Deals good damage on its own. |
| Cons | Tactical Gear has a considerable cooldown, although this can be reduced with mods. |
The Medic class is essential and a core part of a team in Horde Siege. Having a Medic means easy revives and heals, allowing allies to return to the fight faster. It can also tank to some degree thanks to the consistent healing from its Tactical Gear.
In its loadout it has early access to the Gut-Puncher. It is a versatile grenade launcher that can take out groups of enemies with ease.
