With the newly discovered world generation quirks in the Minecraft 1.26 and 26.1 updates, players are finding massive connected villages and desert temples buried deep in underground magma. Whether you are hunting for the perfect speedrun layout or you simply hate walking for hours to find basic ores, picking the right seed skips the early-game grind.

I've put together a curated list of the top working seeds for both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, so you can stop wandering empty biomes and get straight to mining.

How to use Minecraft seeds step by step

Loading these up is incredibly simple and requires zero mods. If you are playing on Java Edition, just head to the create new world menu, click on more world options, and paste your seed code directly into the generator box before starting.

If you are on Bedrock Edition via console or mobile, navigate to the advanced tab during world creation and type the numbers in there. Keep in mind that while the general terrain shapes the same way across both versions, specific structures like ruined portals or villages might shift slightly depending on your platform.

Best village seeds for Minecraft 1.26

If you want to gear up completely in under five minutes, these are exactly what you need. Forget about punching trees to survive your first night.

  • Mega Village with 5 Blacksmiths

    • Seed: 3243218308009294561
    • Edition: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
    • This might just be the most broken starter seed in the game right now. You spawn in a huge plains biome right next to a village housing 5 blacksmiths loaded with iron gear and obsidian. Dig straight down, and there is a massive Ancient City waiting for you.
    • Key coordinates: Ancient City directly below spawn.
  • Dual Snowy Villages for Speedruns

    • Seed: 6969000000015129972
    • Edition: Java Edition only
    • If your main goal is beating the game and breaking records, this is a community favorite. You spawn surrounded by two massive snowy villages providing all the food and starter items you could ever need. A ruined portal is sitting close by, giving you an express ticket to the Nether.
    • Key coordinates: Ruined Portal (152, 70, 168).
  • Desert Village and Temple Combo

    • Seed: -4327904694146500881
    • Edition: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
    • How about a village and a temple sharing the same block space? Load this one up and you'll get chests full of TNT and armor immediately. It is perfect if you want to skip the early material grind.
    • Key coordinates: Main village (-201, 100, 318).

Best rare and beautiful biome seeds

For players who love aesthetics and castle builds, the natural terrain here will save you hundreds of hours of terraforming.

  • The Badlands Lake
    • Seed: 7598363429859286340
    • Edition: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
    • This is easily one of the most stunning sights recently found. You spawn near a water ring surrounded by tall terracotta cliffs. It also features exposed mineshafts on the surface and a lush cave nearby. A prime spot for a hidden empire.
    • Key coordinates: Central lake (0, 72).

Badlands Lake view

  • Cherry Grove Island
    • Seed: 2048005618087379093
    • Edition: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
    • You start on a tiny round island surrounded by a calm lake, which is in turn wrapped by a beautiful cherry blossom forest. Visually, it is the absolute dream location to build a wizard tower or a cozy homestead.
    • Key coordinates: Nearby village (-272, 112).

Seeds with secret caves and temples

Sometimes the procedural engine goes off the rails and leaves behind structures that defy logic. These are the craziest community finds.

  • Lava Floating Desert Temple
    • Seed: 2482490754905255652
    • Edition: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
    • Right beneath where you spawn, tucked into a lush cave, sits a large desert temple floating literally in the middle of a huge underground lava lake. It is a serious parkour challenge if you want that loot.
    • Key coordinates: Lava temple (21, -46, 16).

Underground Lava Temple

  • Massive Ancient City Cluster
    • Seed: 111111111111111111
    • Edition: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
    • If your end goal is farming echo shards and you are not terrified of the Warden, this seed generates an insane 26 Ancient Cities grouped within a 5000-block radius. The first one is just a short dig away from your spawn point.
    • Key coordinates: First Ancient City (189, -27, 179).

At the end of the day, the true appeal of Minecraft is that every generated map is a different canvas with its own quirks. I highly recommend trying out these options, firing up a server with your friends, and experiencing the wild generations that this update brought us.
