Mocaverse has officially launched its own network: Moca Chain, an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain designed to facilitate the management of verifiable identities and data.

Its modular and interoperable approach enables the issuance, storage, and verification of credentials in a secure, private, and reusable way across multiple applications and chains.

Key Features

Moca Chain integrates key technologies to enable an identity-centered ecosystem:

  • Decentralized data storage
  • Identity Oracle for cross-chain verifications
  • zkTLS for web data integration without APIs
  • On-chain verification using ZKPs
Note: ZKPs (Zero-Knowledge Proofs) allow for validating data without revealing the original information, ensuring user privacy.

Core Roles in the Ecosystem

The system operates with three main roles:

  • Users: Individuals who control their identity and data.
  • Issuers: Entities that generate and store credentials.
  • Verifiers: Platforms that validate information without accessing sensitive data.

Credential Verification Flow

  1. User requests access to a service or reward.
  2. Verifier requests the necessary credential.
  3. User obtains the credential from the issuer.
  4. Issuer validates and issues the encrypted credential.
  5. The credential is stored on Moca Chain.
  6. User authorizes verification via ZKP.
  7. Verifier accesses and verifies the credential without seeing personal data.

Privacy and User Control

Identities on Moca Chain are self-sovereign. Only the user can authorize the use of their data. Verifications do not expose sensitive information, thanks to encryption and ZKPs.

Use Cases

  • KYC & Compliance: One verification, multiple uses.
  • Education: Validate academic degrees and achievements.
  • Gaming: Prove in-game time or achievements.
  • Creators: Verify participation in communities or token holdings.
  • Sports: Prove loyalty to unlock exclusive rewards or access.

The Role of $MOCA

The $MOCA token powers the entire Moca Chain ecosystem:

  • Gas fees and verification payments
  • Validator staking
  • Decentralized data storage
  • Used in the Identity Oracle and data generation
Key Fact: The more credentials are issued and used, the higher the demand and utility for $MOCA across the network.

Key Differences from Other Blockchains

Moca Chain is not a general-purpose blockchain. It is positioned as a specialized, neutral layer for identity and data verification that interoperates with other chains rather than replacing them. Key advantages include:

  • End-to-end identity infrastructure
  • Neutral and interoperable positioning
  • Day-one access to Animoca Brands (700M+ users)
  • Modular architecture via AIR Kit
  • Privacy-first verifications via ZKP

Build on Moca Chain

Moca Chain aims to complement existing networks as the identity and verification layer. Its goal is to become the foundation of a data-driven economy where users own and control their digital identity.

Open Invitation: Developers, protocols, and platforms can now prepare their projects for integration, starting with the testnet in Q3 2025.
