Earn $OVC and USDC in OverKnights' New P2A Campaign

Obitus Games has unveiled OverKnights' economic roadmap, detailing how its Play-to-Airdrop campaign will work, the use of the $OVC token, NFT integration, and new ways to reward competitive players.

An Overview of the Economic Model

OverKnights, the free-to-play strategic card game developed by Obitus Games, is evolving its Web3 economy with a focus on digital ownership, sustainability, and accessibility. Built on Immutable and supported by Sequence, the game offers a competitive experience with no entry barriers and tradable player-owned assets.

The system revolves around the $OVC token and in-game NFTs like Booster Packs, Parts, Cards, and Cosmetics. These elements can be earned by playing the competitive “Climb of the Libra Tower” mode or traded between players through the in-game marketplace.

$OVC Token and Its Reward System

$OVC will serve as the central token within the OverKnights ecosystem. It will be used to purchase Battle Passes, Rewards, Booster Packs, consumables, and cosmetics in the game. It will also be the default currency for the player marketplace, where NFTs can be bought and sold.

To maintain economic balance, Obitus Games will implement a buyback and burn system for $OVC, using revenue generated in-game to purchase tokens on the market and remove them from circulation. Additionally, players will be able to purchase $OVC directly in-game, with no need to leave the platform or have prior technical knowledge.

P2A Seasons: How They Work

Before the official launch of the token, OverKnights will run a three-season campaign with rewards based on player participation. Each season will offer two main earning methods:

• Competitive Leaderboard with USDC Prizes: Top-performing players in PvP mode will earn USDC rewards from a collective prize pool.
• Quests and Missions: Players who complete in-game and social media missions will be eligible for $OVC airdrops.

Players can enhance their rewards by purchasing a VIP Pass, which applies multipliers to both USDC prizes and $OVC airdrops. Pricing for this pass has not yet been announced.

Benefits for Genesis Pilots

Holders of a Genesis Pilot NFT (recently sold out) will have access to special missions and reward multipliers during the campaign seasons. These NFTs were revealed on July 29 and include custom artwork, rarity level, and gameplay-ready metadata.
