Parallel TCG Deception Drop: date, content and free packs

The new Parallel TCG expansion is ready to hit the battlefield. After Planetfall and Aftermath, the war between the five factions enters a different stage.
In Deception, victory belongs to those who know how to move in the shadows.

A new era in the TCG

The Deception set introduces 95 new cards that mark the beginning of a “cold war” era within the Parallel universe.
It includes:

• 15 Prime Variants (PV)
• 22 Perfect Loops (PL)
• 69 Native Language (NL)
• 95 Masterpieces (MP)

The official launch took place on September 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. (EST) via OpenSea on the Base network.
Each pack was priced at approximately $35 USD, and could be purchased using any token supported by OpenSea’s cross-chain minting system.

Once opened through the official Parallel website, the cards become instantly playable in the TCG, marking a significant improvement over previous expansions.

 

How to buy packs

To purchase Deception packs, players must:

1. Connect their wallet to OpenSea and ensure they are on the Base network.
2. Select the desired number of packs once the drop page goes live.
3. Confirm the transaction through their wallet.
4. Then, visit the Deception Pack Opening page on the Parallel website to open the packs and reveal the cards through the Chainlink VRF system.

Pack structure and odds

The new Deception Collector Packs are designed with 10 cards each, distributed as follows:

• 4 Commons
• 3 Uncommons
• 2 Rares
• 1 Legendary

This new construction replaces the two-tier rarity system used in previous expansions, aligning with standard TCG practices.
Developers confirmed that there are no duplicates within the same rarity level, though it is possible to get two cards with the same name but different editions (for example, a Special Edition and a Perfect Loop).

Anyone who opens a pack with three or more cards sharing the same title will receive a physical gift pack.

Free packs and distribution

To celebrate more than four and a half years of TCG development, the Parallel team will distribute free Deception Collector Packs to several community groups.
Distribution will take place in three stages: September 30, October 13, and October 27.

Beneficiaries include:

Guaranteed Packs

• Ardent Prime and Ardent Vanguard: 2 packs each
• Master-ranked players: 2 packs each
• Players earning over 15 $PRIME this year: 1 pack
• Prime Drive holders: 1 pack
• Bonds: around 400 packs distributed
• Public Test Server: 262 packs

Raffled Packs

• Players earning under 15 $PRIME: 750 packs
• Masterpiece or The Core holders: 180 packs
• Avatar holders: 750 packs

The remaining packs will be used in October as a re-engagement campaign for players who participated before the official TCG release.

Deception marks the beginning of a new phase for Parallel TCG, featuring an improved pack structure, direct integration with the game, and broad community distribution.
The launch represents a natural transition from Aftermath and sets the stage for the next expansion: Haven.
