Update 43 of Stumble Guys is set to completely transform the game's economy and progression this summer. According to the latest official preview, the most radical change is that the premium Stumble Pass will now cost real money instead of Gems, while the maximum ability level is dropping from 15 to 9. Here is everything you need to know so you aren't caught off guard when the patch drops.

How the new Stumble Guys abilities work

One of the biggest gameplay shifts is the simplification of the progression system. The maximum capability level is dropping from Level 15 down to Level 9. Don’t panic, though—this isn’t a nerf to your power. A maxed-out level 9 ability in the new system will hit exactly as hard as a level 15 ability does right now. The total cost to max an ability remains at 60,000 Ability Tokens. The developers just want each individual level-up to feel way more impactful.

Say goodbye to micromanaging, too. You won’t have to manually pick which stats to upgrade anymore; they will scale up automatically as you level them. They are also removing visual variants tied to individual abilities, unifying the look so you can focus entirely on how they impact the match.

Stumble Guys Summer Update

The new Stumble Pass costs real money

Here is the change making the most noise: you can no longer buy the premium Stumble Pass using Gems. Once this update hits, activating the premium track will require a direct in-app purchase with real money.

While that might sting for free-to-play players who hoarded their currency, there is a silver lining. The free track of the pass is getting massively buffed. If you stick to the free route, you will earn more Gems than before, up to 3x more Ability Keys, and 2.5x more Ability Tokens.

If you do decide to swipe your card, the premium pass will include a brand-new exclusive Ability, 40% more Keys, and 140% more Ability Tokens compared to the old premium track.

What are Gems used for now?

With the pass out of the equation, your Gems aren't useless. You will still spend them to enter tournaments, buy shop cosmetics, spin roulette wheels, and skip pass tiers if you are running out of time during a season.

Daily Missions and Pass Progression

Finally, earning Stars to level up your pass is getting more structured. Missions are becoming the primary way to earn Stars. These will be split into Daily Missions and Seasonal Missions. This means logging in daily to knock out specific objectives will be much more efficient than just grinding random lobbies.

All in all, this is a massive shakeup to the game's economy and progression loop. The real-money battle pass will definitely spark debate, but the improved free rewards should help balance things out for casual players. The dev team mentioned via their official X (Twitter) account that they are actively taking community feedback before pushing this live.

While we wait for the official release date, make sure to spend or save your Gems wisely. What do you think about the real-money battle pass? Share your thoughts on olagg.io's social media channels and stay tuned for our upcoming guides to dominate the new season!
