Credit cards are like the final boss of Dark Souls: if you don't know the mechanics of compound interest, they will farm you until you're out of HP.
Do you know what the toughest final boss of your life is? It's not Malenia, it's not the Elden Beast. It's the credit card.
And unlike Dark Souls, here you can't retry. Every month you don't pay the full amount, the boss hits you harder.
Compound interest is like poison in an RPG. At first, it seems small: -5 HP per turn. But it accumulates, multiplies, and suddenly you're on the floor wondering what happened.
Credit cards charge 80-120% annually in Argentina. Translation: if you owe $100,000 and only pay the minimum, in one year you owe $180,000. Without buying ANYTHING else. That's reverse farming: you are the one being farmed.

"Those who do not earn compound interest, pay it." This is the golden rule. Either you use it to your advantage (by investing), or it uses you against you (by getting into debt).
The 4 rules to not be an NPC of the financial system:
1. Spend less than you earn. Can't spend less? Then you need to earn more.
2. Save and invest FIRST each month, before anything else.
3. Increase that percentage over time. Goal: 10-20% of your income.
4. With the rest: live. Life flies by.
If you have a balance on your card: pay it off TODAY. Everything. Sell skins, work extra, but stop that bleeding. Every day that passes, the boss gets stronger.
If you have no debt: never buy in installments without interest "because you can". That's the enemy's tutorial. It teaches you to normalize debt.
