The Tokyo Game Show 2025 kicked off with a bang, and Xbox didn’t hold back. In its special broadcast on September 25, the brand unveiled a lineup of titles that reinforce its commitment to both Asian and global markets, with offerings ranging from classic RPGs to psychological horror, technical action, and long-awaited remakes. Here’s the full recap with the most notable announcements.

Forza Horizon 6: Japan as the New Playground

The event’s big reveal was Forza Horizon 6, set in Japan. Playground Games promises a detailed recreation of urban, rural, and coastal landscapes, with new dynamic weather systems and cultural events. The game launches in 2026 and will support Xbox Play Anywhere.


Ninja Gaiden 4: Technical Brutality

Team Ninja and PlatinumGames unveiled Ninja Gaiden 4, with a more technical focus, adjustable difficulty, and visceral combat. Launches on October 21, 2025, with support for local and online co-op.


Gungrave GORE: Blood Heat

A full remake of the 2022 title, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5. Features new animations, revamped combat systems, and a darker aesthetic. Available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.


Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake

The Japanese horror classic returns with graphical upgrades, immersive audio, and new mechanics. Launches in early 2026.


Hitman: World of Assassination – The Infiltrator

Bruce Lee joins as an ally in a special mission available until November 20. Set in Bangkok, it blends stealth, martial arts, and alternate storytelling.


Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake

Square Enix showcased the return of these classic RPGs with Octopath Traveler-style visuals. Release date to be confirmed.


Monster Hunter Stories 1, 2 & 3

Capcom announced all three entries are coming to Xbox. The third, Twisted Reflection, will be available on March 13, 2026.


Aniimo: Creature-Raising RPG with Anime Aesthetic

A new RPG reminiscent of Pokémon, with an open beta coming soon. Features a colorful world, evolution system, and turn-based combat.


Hotel Barcelona

A surreal co-op horror game created by Swery and Suda51. Available from September 26, with PvE and invasive PvP modes.


Double Dragon Revive

The classic beat’em up returns with 50 extra missions, story mode, and co-op. Launches on October 23.


Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 – Japan Update

New expansion featuring Japanese landscapes, temples, volcanoes, and coastal cities. Available this week.
