YGG Play joins Proof of Play for its new Launchpad

YGG Play, the publishing division of Yield Guild Games (YGG), announced a new partnership with Proof of Play, creator of the Web3 arcade of the same name. The agreement comes just days before the debut of the YGG Play Launchpad, a platform designed to connect “Casual Degen” games with players across the blockchain ecosystem.

A Partnership to Strengthen Web3 Gaming

Through this partnership, YGG Play will support Proof of Play with growth strategies, player acquisition, and a smart contract-based revenue sharing model. The goal is to strengthen the presence of the Proof of Play Arcade, a space focused on accessible and sustainable blockchain gaming experiences.

Proof of Play Arcade aims to bridge the gap between casual players and Web3 users with a simple interface and mechanics centered on fun rather than rewards. The company was co-founded by Amitt Mahajan, former Zynga executive and co-creator of FarmVille, alongside Adam Fern, a founding team member of Cash App.

Integration into the YGG Play Launchpad

The Proof of Play Arcade will be part of the initial lineup on the YGG Play Launchpad, set to launch on October 15, 2025.
The platform will allow users to discover new games, participate in quests, and access token launches through play-to-airdrop campaigns.

“It’s an honor to partner with YGG on their new Launchpad. Visibility is one of the biggest challenges in Web3, and this model offers a new way to address it,” said Adam Fern, co-founder of Proof of Play.

Since joining Abstract Chain two months ago, Proof of Play Arcade has attracted over 12,000 players, surpassed 1 million credits sold, and generated over $550,000 in revenue.

The “Casual Degen” Approach

YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon highlighted that Proof of Play Arcade maintains a consistent player base thanks to its frequent updates and weekly meta shifts.
According to Dizon, the growth of the “Casual Degen” market reflects the interest in games that integrate crypto features without compromising playability.

With the Launchpad release, players will be able to earn YGG Play Points to gain priority in future events and campaigns. These points can also be boosted by staking $YGG. The Launchpad’s first token, $LOL, will be distributed through a two-season play-to-airdrop campaign.
