Spellborne

Spellborne is a retro MMORPG where players explore Celestia, an open world filled with creatures known as Mons. Each playthrough is unique: decisions affect the environment, character morality, and interactions with other players.

The game combines exploration, breeding, and turn-based battles, inspired by classics like Pokémon and Stardew Valley. At the start, players can choose one of three hunters — Atom (Luck), Bellatrix (Intelligence), or Cosmo (Charisma) — each offering unique bonuses that shape the adventure’s progression.

Gameplay

The core system blends monster capturing, training, and exploration. Players must weaken Mons in battle before capturing them, using different items or abilities. Each creature has its own mutation tree, attacks, and elemental types — Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Dark, or Dragon — with strengths and weaknesses among them.

Beyond combat, the game offers side activities like farming, mining, fishing, and several minigames such as Pandoro Run, Ember Blitz, or Time to CHIMP. Daily quests, achievements, and a skill tree complete the progression loop, alongside a main campaign lasting around six hours.

Game Modes

Spellborne offers both narrative and competitive experiences:

• PvE: Story campaigns, bosses, and themed events like Treasures of Celestia.
• PvP Leagues: Ranked battles with an ELO system and $BORNE rewards.
• Guild Wars: 2v2 cooperative fights where players capture rare Mons.
• Special Events: Weekly activities like Mutation Monday or Trails of Embervault, featuring unique challenges and prizes.

Customization and Progression

Customization is one of the main pillars of the game. Hunters can change their appearance with skins earned through quests or events, each granting different bonuses.
Mons evolve through three mutation stages, influenced by items, morality, or location. Breeding allows the inheritance of stats or traits, while advanced players can build and decorate their own NFT apartments or unlock cosmetics through the Stellar Pass.

Economy and Rewards

Spellborne’s economy mixes in-game currencies with an optional blockchain layer.
Gold Nuggets are used for general purchases, while Abstract Shards and Store Points are obtained through events or quests. The $BORNE token acts as the main currency for minting NFTs, trading on the Bazaar, speeding up progression, or joining tournaments.

Although it includes play-to-earn features, these are completely optional — players can enjoy all content without connecting to the blockchain network.

Community and Support

Spellborne has an active community of over 175,000 players.
