The Arbitrum Foundation, an organization dedicated to scaling Ethereum through Layer 2 solutions, has opened a vacancy for a Developer Relations Engineer focused on Latin America. This is a remote, full-time position, designed for professionals passionate about blockchain technology and fluent in Spanish.

The Role: Building Bridges with the Community

The Developer Relations Engineer will be a key player in strengthening relationships with the developer community in LATAM. Responsibilities include:

  • Developer engagement: build strong connections and serve as a technical point of contact.
  • Advocacy and community: organize meetups, workshops, and webinars to share knowledge and foster collaboration.
  • Technical contribution: create documentation, tutorials, and educational materials to facilitate integration with Arbitrum.
  • Feedback loop: channel developer needs to product and engineering teams.
  • Internal collaboration: work with marketing, product, and other departments to align strategies.
  • Technical evaluation: review grant proposals and projects from an architectural and code perspective.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Fluency in Spanish (mandatory) and strong communication skills in English.
  • Experience with languages such as Typescript, Python, Go, Rust, or Java.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Solidity and a deep understanding of blockchain technology and EVM solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, proactivity, and problem-solving skills.
  • A degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous experience in developer relations or advocacy within the blockchain sector.
  • Open-source contributions in the EVM space.
  • Knowledge of Rust and commercial experience with Solidity.
  • Fluency in other languages such as Hindi, Korean, or Japanese.
