The August 11 patch for Blood Strike is officially live, and it’s a massive one. If you thought the game was already fast-paced, the new Vanguard Season is about to shake up how you play. Not only are we getting a fresh battle pass and limited-time events, but one of the most requested features is finally dropping: TPS Mode (third-person shooter). As always, I’ll break down what actually matters so you don't waste your gold or miss the tightest drop deadlines.
Starting August 14, TPS Mode officially joins the Battle Royale. This isn't just a weekend playlist; the Vanguard Season features separate ranked progression and custom rooms for third-person players. Grinding ranked here can unlock the legendary QBZ95 - Glory skin, alongside rank coins and exclusive stickers. Third-person completely changes how cover and corner-peeking work, so expect the meta to get a lot more tactical.
For those who prefer straight-up chaos, the update also introduces the Locker Room map. It's a brand-new, extremely tight arena exclusive to Free-For-All. Paired with the Ultra Chaos event launching on August 21 (where the first player to hit 30 kills wins), this map is going to be the absolute best place to warm up your aim before dropping into BR.

If you run E.M.T., you're in for a surprise. Her default model just got a complete overhaul: she’s finally ditching the bulky rescue armor and helmet, hitting the arena in a clean white medical combat suit with her true face revealed. Gameplay-wise, the activation time for her protective field and healing grenades is now slightly faster.
On the weapon front, there are clear winners and losers. The SVD received a massive buff—the trigger delay is gone, and the recoil has been greatly reduced. Meanwhile, the P90 got nerfed up close so it's no longer an instant-melt machine, but its damage drop-off was reduced to make it more viable at medium range. Also, if you play the titan modes, the Beast Titan just got a huge buff, going from 5000 to 6000 HP.

This is where a lot of players mess up and burn their gold too early. The new Urban Pulse Strike Pass drops on August 15 and runs for a full month, bringing the ultra MP5 - Heatwave skin and the Lucian - Renegade striker skin.
The real dates you need to mark down are the short-window events. As highlighted in the August patch calendar, Katya's Refinement Coin Shop is only open for five days, from August 28 to September 1. It’s the tightest deadline on the calendar, so hoard your resources for that weekend. Also, watch out for the EVO Return: Featured Valor from August 16 to August 27; if you missed any of those three EVO weapons previously, this is your shot. Everything else (like the Eternal VOLT: Mantra) sticks around until October, so pace yourself.
Overall, the August 11 update shifts Blood Strike into a more versatile shooter. The addition of TPS mode alone brings a massive tactical layer to the Battle Royale, giving players new ways to peek corners and hold down compounds. Meanwhile, the SVD's massive buffs might just make it the dominant marksman rifle in the game.
