Brawl Stars Season 56: September Balance Changes & Nerfs

The September 2026 balance changes for Season 56 are officially out, bringing a long list of buffs (including a massive rework for Leon) and devastating nerfs (sorry, Wendy mains). Let's break down the most important tweaks based on the patch notes.

Biggest buffs in Season 56

According to the detailed breakdowns from Brawl Stars Blog and LDPlayer, several brawlers are getting a much-needed push. If you main any of these, you're in for a treat:

• Leon: His Clone Projector gadget gets a huge rework. Clone damage increases from 200 to 600, and the range jumps from 5 to 10. Also, the clone's movement speed now matches Leon's.
• Clancy: Main attack reload time drops from 2.0s to 1.8s. He now requires only 5 tokens to reach Stage 2, though Stage 3 is bumped up to 24 tokens.
• Tara: The shadows from her Black Portal and Healing Shade Star Powers see a health increase up to 4000. Shadow damage is now 1000 and healing goes up to 600.
• Melodie: Base health is bumped to 4000. Her Hook gadget cooldown drops to 10s, and the movement speed bonus is buffed to 35%.
• Bea: Super damage raised to 130, and Rattled Hive gadget cooldown reduced to 20s.

Other characters like Buster, Colette, Eve, Hank, Jacky, Janet, Jessie, Maisie, Shade, and Ziggy are also receiving minor buffs to help them keep up.

The hardest nerfs in September

Some brawlers were overperforming, and Season 56 is pulling them back in line:

• Wendy: She took a massive hit. Her Super charge rate is reduced by 15%, the shield generator's health drops to 2500, and its damage reduction goes from 75% to 60%.
• Nori: Base health drops to 3500, and the Mischievous Sushi gadget cooldown jumps to 18s.
• Rico: The Digital Retreat Star Power bonus drops to 50%, and the Bouncy Castle gadget damage is nerfed to 900.
• Max and Meg: Both get increased gadget cooldowns. Meg’s Force Field shield is nerfed to 30%.
• Bo, Bolt, Brock, Griff, Lumi, and Ruffs also saw reductions to their damage or Super charge rates.

Brawl Arena exclusive changes

If you play a lot of Brawl Arena, keep in mind these adjustments only apply there. On the buff side, Crow, Melodie, and Mortis get increased damage scaling. Conversely, 8-Bit, Bolt, Brock, Emz, Jessie, Nori, and Wendy take significant hits to their scaling stats—especially Wendy, whose health scaling drops from 600 to 300.
