How to Get Hardwood in Palworld 1.0: Best Locations and Farming

In Palworld 1.0, Hardwood is an important crafting material for weapons, structures, and mid-game upgrades. Here are the best locations and how to farm it efficiently.

Where to Find Hardwood

Hardwood is mainly obtained by chopping specific trees. It doesn't appear in every area, but there are two particularly good spots:

1. Twilight Dunes

• Location: West of the Anubis boss icon.
• Recommended trees: Mesquite trees (desert trees).
• Recommended level: Around 30-40 (use heat resistance gear).
• Dangers: Level 30 Pals like Dazzi.

2. Dancing Sakura Shrine

• Location: Northwest, on the same island as the Moonflower Tower.
• Recommended trees: Cherry blossom trees.
• Recommended level: 40+ (best with a flying Pal).
• Dangers: Strong local Pals, but less dense.

How to Farm Hardwood Efficiently

1. Use any chopping tool (axe or better).
2. In Twilight Dunes you can stay for several days chopping without moving much.
3. Once you have around 100 Hardwood, build the Logging Site II (level 43) to produce Hardwood automatically.

Tip: Save your first batch of Hardwood to unlock the Logging Site II as soon as possible. This prevents having to travel constantly.

What is Hardwood used for?

• Weapons: Double-barrel Shotgun, Metal Bat, etc.
• Advanced structures.
• Base upgrades.

With the Logging Site II activated, Hardwood will no longer be a problem in the mid-to-late game.
