To build a legendary fortune in the world of Crimson Desert, players must focus on stealing the Gold Bar from the Lioncrest Manor fireplace and efficiently pickpocketing Noble NPCs in Hernand Town. These methods represent the pinnacle of wealth generation in Pywel, allowing you to bypass the grind of lower-tier quests. In Pearl Abyss's masterpiece, Silver is the lifeblood of progression, influencing everything from equipment durability to high-end mount acquisition.
Understanding the game's economic systems is vital for any mercenary looking to make a mark. Gold Bars aren't just heavy weights; they are high-density assets that can be converted into Silver or utilized in the banking system for exponential growth. This technical guide explores the exact paths to securing these bars.
Located Northwest of Hernand Town, Lioncrest Manor serves as a primary target for early-game wealth. Inside the ground-floor foyer, a secret Gold Bar is stashed within the fireplace. However, the manor is heavily guarded, and a direct approach will lead to immediate arrest.
The most reliable way to enter Lioncrest Manor is through the second-story windows.
Once you reach the foyer, identify the fireplace next to a small table. Before interacting, you must perform two technical checks. First, create a manual save. If caught, your bounty debt will be massive. Second, memorize the guard's patrol; only steal when he turns his back and walks down the right-side hallway.
Once the bar is in your inventory, crouch in the corner to the left of the fireplace until the theft meter resets. This ensures a clean getaway with zero bounty.
While the Lioncrest Manor bar is a static one-time loot (tests show it does not respawn after 8 in-game days), pickpocketing Nobles provides a repeatable farm. Nobles cluster in specific high-society hubs and often carry multiple bars.
Using your Lantern (R1/RB/CTRL) is non-negotiable. Illumination reveals a Noble's loot silhouette. Look for a long, rectangular ingot shape. If the silhouette is a small pouch, the NPC is carrying common loot and isn't worth the risk.
To maximize efficiency, save manually at Oakenshield Manor at noon. Check all Nobles for Gold Bar silhouettes. If none appear, reload the save to reset the NPC inventory RNG. Once a bar is found, bump into the Noble to initiate the pickpocketing prompt, then flee the immediate vicinity until heat dies down.
After securing 10-15 Gold Bars, visit the Hernand Town Bank. Avoid spending your entire hoard on consumables. Instead, utilize the High-Risk Investment option.
Using save scumming to ensure a minimum 30% profit margin per cycle will turn your stolen bars into a self-sustaining silver engine. Once your capital is significant, move it to Low-Risk for passive income. This economic loop allows you to focus entirely on Crimson Desert's combat and exploration without ever worrying about repair costs or potion supplies again. Mastery of Pywel's shadow economy is just as important as mastery of its combat.
