Salt is an uncommon resource in Subnautica 2, necessary for various crafting recipes and food items. It does not appear in the shallow waters near the Lifepod, so you will have to venture into deeper areas.

The main area is in the volcanic region, approximately 300 meters east of the Lifepod. There you can find Salt deposits on the ocean floor.
There are also some small deposits in the caves near Chap's Blackbox, which you visit early in the story.
Tip: Salt appears as white blocks and is usually on the ground, not on the walls like other minerals.

The best place to farm Salt is at the edge of the volcanic region, near the exit of Chap’s Blackbox cave. Follow the Coral Domes northeast and you will find several large deposits.
Bring the Sonic Resonator to collect more per deposit. If you have the Heat Tolerance Adaptation, you can explore further into the hot area where there is even more Salt.
