Dragon Quest VII Reimagined: Location of the 12 Yellow Fragments

In Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, your progress depends on finding colored fragments to restore stone tablets. These pieces are the key to unlocking the islands of the "Yellow Continent" in both the past and the present.

Although there are red, green, and blue fragments, today we will focus exclusively on the 12 Yellow Fragments scattered across the world. Here is the definitive guide to finding them all, from the prologue to boss battles.

1. The Prologue (Estard Island)

Here you will find the first 4 fragments needed to start your journey.

• Shrine of Mysteries (Present):

  • How to get it: It is the first one in the game. After talking to the King, go to the Shrine and interact with the statue. It is unmissable.

• Estard - Shadow Puzzle (Present):

  • How to get it: Go to the Estard Underground Path and speak to Dermot (Basement Level 1) to get a key. Use the key on the left door of the underground path to enter the Trial Room.

  • The Puzzle: Move the statues so their shadows match the symbol on the wall. After solving it and defeating two Tribulators, the fragment will be on a platform.

• Rainbow Cove - Pike's Quest (Present):

  • How to get it: Talk to Pike at his house in Estard. He will ask for 3 empty bottles: one outside his house, one near the church, and the last one at the area entrance.

  • The Puzzle: Go to Rainbow Cove, fill the bottles, and enter the cave. Solve the pillar puzzle to stop the water. The fragment is in the Treasure Room.

• Pilchard Bay (Present):

  • How to get it: Interact with Pollock at his house ("Home Sweet Home") in Pilchard Bay. He will gift it to you upon returning from fishing.

2. L'Arca Region

There is only one fragment in this zone.

• L'Arca Town (Present):

  • How to get it: Visit the Mayor's House (to the right of the entrance). After the cutscene, look for the fragment in the small northeast area of the house, between two pots.

3. Frobisher Region

Here you must travel between the past and the present.

• Institute of Automatry (Past):

  • How to get it: Go to the Storeroom. The fragment waits for you inside, near some wooden barrels.

• Frobisher Town (Present):

  • How to get it: In the central area, west of the Inn. It is easier if you enter from the south: it is the first door to the left.

• Institute of Automatry (Present):

  • How to get it: Return here after the Faraday Castle events. Talk to Ambrose after finishing your final task in the main story to receive it.

4. Roamer Encampment

• Poolside Cave (Past):

  • How to get it: It is on Underground Level 3, in the northeastern part of the map. Check your map to locate it exactly.

5. Alltrades Abbey

The last 3 fragments require combat and passwords.

• Alltrades Abbey (Past):

  • How to get it: Defeat the boss "Cardinal Sin". Then, talk to Jacqueline (the High Priestess) on Level 1 to receive it.

• Alltrades Abbey (Present):

  • How to get it: Speak to Jacqueline again in the present. She will give you the fragment in the middle of a cutscene.

• Bandits' Base (Present):

  • How to get it: South of the region, help the NPC on the ground and defeat the thieves. Go to the Bandits' Base and use the password "Get Lost!" to enter. Defeat the boss "The Mighty Pip" in a duel to obtain the final Yellow Fragment.
