If you were looking for a sign to drop back into the Battle Royale, the Fortnite x Star Wars event is here for the entirety of May. As announced by Epic Games and highlighted by Vandal, this update brings official Lucasfilm creation tools, brand new game modes, and naturally, free rewards to bulk up your locker.

This collaboration goes way beyond a standard patch. We're looking at a massive drop featuring hundreds of themed islands built from scratch using official assets from the saga in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). Whether you want to explore Tatooine or engage in space battles, there's content tailored for every playstyle.

To get the party started, Epic and Lucasfilm have unleashed Star Wars assets directly to creators. You can jump into the Discover tab right now to find countless community-made modes:

How to unlock Fortnite x Star Wars free rewards
