Forza Horizon 6 once again includes the classic Barn Finds, one of the most popular side activities in the franchise. Throughout the Japan-inspired map, players can discover abandoned vehicles hidden inside barns, warehouses, and deteriorated buildings scattered across mountains, rural roads, and coastal areas.

Besides unlocking exclusive cars for free, this mechanic also encourages full map exploration and the discovery of hidden locations outside the main roads.

How do Barn Finds work in Forza Horizon 6?

The system keeps a similar structure to previous Horizon games. As players progress through the Horizon Festival, different characters begin sharing rumors about forgotten vehicles hidden in specific areas of the map.

Once a rumor appears, the game marks an approximate search zone. From there, players must carefully explore the area until they locate the exact barn where the vehicle is hidden.

After being discovered, the vehicle is automatically sent for restoration before becoming available inside the main garage.

Many Barn Finds are not available from the start of the game. Some require players to:

The rumor becomes available after completing the first Horizon Festival activities in Tokyo City. The car is hidden inside an abandoned warehouse near the industrial port east of Shibuya.

The area is relatively easy to identify thanks to the shipping containers and metallic structures surrounding the location.

Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 1993

The Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 is one of the most desired Barn Finds due to the model’s historical importance within Japanese car culture.

To unlock the rumor, players must progress far enough to access mountain events in Hakone. The barn is located near Nanamagari Touge Road, an area filled with tight corners and forest roads.

Dense vegetation and narrow roads make this Barn Find more difficult to access compared to earlier discoveries.

Mazda RX-7 Spirit R 2002

The Mazda RX-7 Spirit R becomes available after reaching a mid-level rank within the Horizon Festival.

The vehicle is hidden in the mountainous region of Ohtani, specifically inside an abandoned structure near a radio tower. Foggy weather and winding roads make the building difficult to spot from long distances.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI 1999

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI appears after unlocking off-road routes.

The location is in Takashiro, near a waterfall surrounded by dirt roads and forested terrain. The barn remains partially hidden between trees and uneven elevations.

Honda NSX-R 1992

The Honda NSX-R can be unlocked after completing several urban races in the Nangan region.

The vehicle is hidden inside an abandoned structure located along the eastern coast of the map, surrounded by ocean-side highways and tunnels inspired by real Japanese roads.

Subaru Impreza 22B-STi 1998

The Subaru Impreza 22B-STi is connected to one of the snowy northern areas of the map.

To activate the rumor, players must discover the Hokubu region. The vehicle is hidden inside a deteriorated cabin located near an old snow-covered railway.

Porsche 959 1987

The Porsche 959 becomes available after unlocking advanced exploration activities.

The car is hidden in Narai-Juku, a region inspired by traditional Japanese villages. The barn is located behind several wooden shops and buildings.

Ford GT 2005

The Ford GT unlocks after completing speed events and highway races.

The location is in Nangan Coast, inside a hidden secondary road near the ocean. Uneven terrain and concealed routes can make the exact entrance difficult to locate.

Lancia Stratos HF Stradale 1974

The classic Lancia Stratos HF Stradale appears in the alpine regions of the map.

Tips to find Barn Finds faster

Although the game marks an approximate search area, some vehicles can still take considerable time to locate.

One of the most effective methods is paying close attention to the environment shown during rumors. Elements such as mountains, power towers, railways, or specific roads usually indicate exactly which part of the map players should explore.

Using drones or aerial cameras is also highly recommended, especially in snowy or forested regions where buildings remain partially hidden.

In addition, exploring secondary roads is essential, since many barns are not directly connected to the main routes.
