Complete Guide to Getting Started in Hytale (Early Access)

Hytale is a sandbox RPG inspired by Minecraft that combines exploration, fluid combat, building, and modding tools. The game launched in Early Access on January 13, 2026, and is currently in active development, with updates based on community feedback.

As an early version, bugs are expected, but the core already includes exploration, PvE, crafting, and functional multiplayer. This guide explains how to start from scratch and progress during the first hours of gameplay.

Requirements and download

Hytale is not available on Steam or the Epic Games Store. It can only be played through the official launcher and, for now, is available exclusively on PC.
