Bungie has officially launched Destiny 2: The Renegades, the second expansion of the Year of Prophecy, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This new release introduces an original narrative, refreshed multiplayer activities, and gear inspired by the Star Wars universe, expanding the experience with new settings and gameplay mechanics.

The expansion features a narrative campaign in which players join forces with the Drifter to challenge the Vanguard and confront the Barant Empire, a Cabal faction with suspected ties to the Nine.
The journey takes place on Mars, with the Tharsis Outpost serving as a new social hub. From this location, Guardians can forge alliances, take on contracts, and gain influence within the criminal underworld that dominates the region.

The expansion will grow further on December 13 with the release of the Equilibrium dungeon. In this activity, players work alongside Aunor Mahal to infiltrate a Barant Empire warship.

Bungie also announced exclusive physical rewards in its official store, including pins and metal posters, available to players who complete specific Triumphs before April 2026.
