Twelve years after their first conquest, T1 returns to the top of the League of Legends competitive scene.
The South Korean team has once again been crowned World Champion, reaffirming its place as one of the most successful and consistent organizations in esports history.

T1’s history at the World Championships began in 2013, when the team competed under the name SK Telecom T1.
That year, the squad dominated the World Final, earning its first international title in League of Legends and marking the beginning of a golden era for South Korean esports.

Since then, T1 has claimed six World Championships —2013, 2015, 2016, 2023, 2024, and 2025— establishing itself as the most decorated organization in the game’s history.
Its early dominance laid the foundation for a reputation that no other team has yet been able to match.
The 2025 World Championship took place in China, from October 14 to November 9, bringing together the best teams from around the world.
In an intense and tightly contested final, T1 defeated KT Rolster with a 3–2 scoreline, in a series that kept millions of viewers on the edge of their seats.

With this victory, the South Korean powerhouse secured its sixth world title, closing a cycle that unites past and present under one lasting legacy.
Over the years, T1 has proven that greatness is built not only on individual talent but also on a strong organizational structure and long-term vision.
The organization has been known for its internal discipline, focus on developing young players, and ability to adapt to the constant transformations of the League of Legends metagame.
Among its most iconic figures stands Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in gaming history.

Faker was a central figure in the team’s first championship back in 2013 and remains a key component of its current victories.
His career—defined by leadership and consistency—embodies the competitive spirit of T1.
Moreover, the team has continuously refined its playstyle, adjusting strategies, compositions, and roles as the competitive landscape evolves.
This ability to adapt has been essential to maintaining its elite status for more than a decade.
From the debut triumph in 2013 to the most recent victory in 2025, T1’s 12 years of competitive history have been marked by transitions, renewals, and continuous growth.
During this time, T1 has witnessed profound changes in League of Legends: new champions, tournament formats, and playstyles that have reshaped the professional scene.

Despite these transformations, the team has remained true to its identity and its pursuit of excellence.
Its latest success not only celebrates another trophy but also highlights the endurance of a project that has managed to reinvent itself without losing its core.
More than just a new title, this achievement represents the continuation of a story that has defined the path of modern esports.
