Artisan Metal is one of the most coveted materials in Hollow Knight: Silksong. This valuable resource is essential for upgrading Hornet's arsenal, as it serves as a special currency with certain NPCs in the game.
By delivering this mineral along with a few Rosaries to characters like the Forge Daughter (in Deep Docks) or the Twelfth Architect (in Lower Tiers), you will receive new Tools for Hornet in exchange. Getting all the metals will make your adventure through Pharloom much easier.

In total, the game hides 8 Artisan Metals scattered across different areas of the map. Below, we explain how to get each of them step by step.
This is the easiest to obtain in your entire playthrough. You just need to visit Pebb, the main merchant of the village in Bone Valley. He will sell you the mineral for a modest price of 60 Rosaries.
To get this metal, you must delve into The Marrow after defeating the Bell Beast. Look for a wall on the left with an orange glow (explosive bulbs).

The most direct route starts in Far Fields (near where you get the "Protective Bell"). Hit the left wall to reveal a secret passage. Proceed with caution through this new route, as it is plagued by lava-spitting slugs and annoying flying bomber insects. At the end of the tunnel, you will find a chest containing the resource.
You will reach this area after defeating Widow in Belltower. Head towards the bottom right part of the map, near a statue of insects with armor and a shield. From there, drop down a hole and move to the left, paying close attention not to step on the dangerous floors swarming with worms.

You need the White Key to access this area through the White Wing entrance. The journey is hostile: dodge lava pillars, explosive insects, and burning floors. When you find the mineral vein and strike it, get ready to fight, as you will automatically summon an "Underground Brute" enemy.

Equip the Magma Bell tool before entering, as the enemies here use lethal fire attacks. Climb to the very top of the gear tower and hit the ceiling on the far left to open the way. As a bonus, to the left of the mineral, you will find a breakable wall that serves as a direct shortcut to the Lower Tiers.

You can buy this mineral from the merchant Jubilana for 500 Rosaries. However, the item will only appear in her inventory after you complete her questline ("The Wandering Merchant") and rescue her for the second time in the Memorium area.
The last vein is hidden on the east side of the Rotting Conduits, on a small cliff above the water. You will need to have the Double Jump ability unlocked to reach the platform. Go with maximum health, as the path is infested with very aggressive enemies.

Gather all the metals and unlock Hornet's maximum potential!
