Wild Rift Patch 7.1d is finally here, and after months of anticipation since its announcement, the collaboration with Porsche has officially hit the Rift. This patch is more than just a cosmetic update; the development team has focused on bug fixes and balancing champions that were falling behind in the late game. Additionally, necessary changes have been implemented to curb Mel's dominance and revitalize several runes that had been overlooked.

With the arrival of the Neon Reckless skins, one of the community's most highly anticipated collaborations is now a reality. This skin line brings the racing concept to the Rift, working alongside one of the most exclusive and recognized brands in the automotive industry to deliver a technical and modern design.

Neon Reckless: The Porsche Collaboration

The arrival of Porsche in Wild Rift isn't just a name in the menu. The new skins aim to adapt champions to a high-tech, high-speed theme. Starting April 29, these are the characters receiving skins:

Robux
ESP
  • Kai'Sa (and Special Select Prestigious Edition): The face of the collaboration. Her thrusters now feature a design inspired by the lines of a sports car, aiming for a more aerodynamic look.
  • Hecarim: This change focuses on turning his mobility into a visual advantage, transforming the champion into a mechanical unit that leaves neon trails in his wake.
  • Irelia, Zed, and Aurora: These champions feature visual effects that simulate mechanical components like turbines, exhausts, and digital control panels.
  • Gragas: Perhaps the most interesting change, as he replaces his traditional ale barrel with a high-octane fuel canister.

Additionally, a small Porsche "Easter Egg" will be activated in-game on May 1 to round out this collaboration.

Balance and Gameplay Adjustments

Patch 7.1d also brings essential meta shifts, focusing on overperforming champions and those needing a boost for the late game.

Nerfs

  • Vayne: Her ability to melt tanks was too high. Her true damage and ultimate attack speed have been reduced to give opponents more room to react.
  • Mel: Her first skill was adjusted to be easier to dodge, and the cooldown on her second skill was increased to punish reckless defensive use.
  • Riven: She was dominating the early laning phase too heavily. Her base damage was reduced, but compensated with better jungle clear speed to keep her viable in that role.

Buffs

  • Urgot: It had been a while since he was seen in the top lane. His base attack damage and leg scaling were increased to make his trades more effective.
  • Sivir and Zeri: Both had trouble closing out games. They now have better attack damage growth per level, allowing them to be true threats in late-game teamfights.

Rune Changes

Rune7.1d AdjustmentReason for Change
Lethal TempoLess speed for rangedPreventing marksmen from reaching max attack speed without investing in items.
EmpowermentIncreased adaptive damageMaking it more attractive compared to other burst options that were overshadowing it.
Absolute FocusThreshold lowered to 65%Making it easier to keep the effect active even after taking slight incidental damage.

Finally, in ARAM AAA mode, new speed-related Augments were added, and respawn timers were adjusted to prevent games from stalling in the early minutes.
