Wildcard Tournament: Qualify in Phase 2 and Travel to DreamHack Atlanta

The Road to DreamHack for Wildcard moves into a new chapter. After the practice rounds in August, this weekend marks the start of Phase 2: Qualifier Ladder, a decisive stage that will test the most competitive teams in the community.

This phase offers the opportunity to secure a spot in the live finals at DreamHack Atlanta, with cash prizes, in-game rewards, and travel support for the qualified teams.

The Road to DreamHack Atlanta

The tournament is divided into several phases, giving every team the chance to prove their skills and advance to the grand final:

• Practice Ladders (Aug 9 – 23): open and casual rounds, useful for training and testing strategies.
• Qualifier Ladder (Sept 6 – 28): current phase, with competitive matches every weekend. Teams earn points on a general leaderboard. At the end, the top 2 teams will qualify directly for DreamHack Atlanta.
• Last Chance Qualifier (Oct 4): playoff among the next best 16 teams after the Qualifier Ladder, where only the winner secures the last official invitation.
• Placement Stage (October, date TBD): matches to determine the seeding of already qualified teams.
• DreamHack Atlanta (Oct 31 – Nov 2): live event with the top 12 teams competing for a prize pool of $5,000 USD.

Phase 2: Qualifier Ladder

The second phase is the core of the tournament right now. For four consecutive weekends, teams will compete in qualifier ladders. Each victory adds points, and at the end of September the final ranking will be determined.

• Duration: September 6 – 28.
• Format: weekend matches with points accumulated on the leaderboard.
• Direct qualification: the top 2 teams will secure their spot at DreamHack Atlanta.
• Additional prizes: in-game rewards for participants and up to $1,500 USD in travel support per team to cover flights, lodging, and meals in Atlanta.

Participation Requirements

• Players must be 18+.
• Valid documentation required (passport/visa if international).
