From August 20 to 24, 2025, the city of Cologne (Germany) will once again become the global center of video games with a new edition of Gamescom at the Koelnmesse venue. August 20 will be reserved for press and professionals, while access for the general public will open from August 21 to 24.

The Opening Night Live marks the beginning

One day before the official start, on August 19 at 20:00 CEST, the Opening Night Live (ONL) will be held, hosted by Geoff Keighley and broadcasted on Twitch and YouTube. There, previews of titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Resident Evil Requiem, World of Warcraft: Midnight, Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2, and Silent Hill F are expected.

Key presentation schedule

Gamescom 2025 will feature several broadcasts that will capture attention:

• Future Games Show: August 20, 20:00 CEST.

• Awesome Indies Showcase: August 21, 18:00 CEST, dedicated to independent games.

• Xbox and Bethesda live: from August 22 to 25, with 20 playable games (including Hollow Knight: Silksong) and the presentation of the ROG Xbox Ally X.

• Nintendo returns to the event: with demos of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokémon Legends Z-A.

• Bandai Namco on stage: with new releases like Little Nightmares 3 and The Blood of Dawnwalker.

More exhibitors and expanded space

The event will feature a record number of exhibitors, about 11% more than the previous year. Companies such as EA, Konami, Netflix, Paramount, Sega, Tencent, and Disney+ will be present. The indie zone will expand to occupy half of a pavilion, and a digital app will be launched to enhance the visitor experience.

Devcom and other parallel activities

Before the fair, Devcom, the conference focused on developers, will take place at the same venue. Among the most anticipated titles, GTA VI and Black Ops 7 emerge as major protagonists. Additionally, the schedule is filled with parties and social gatherings for the professional community and attendees.
