Your guide will be The Scherif, who will explain the basics of the game:
Quick Match: Quick matches, ideal for practice.
Ranked Match: Competitions in a more competitive environment.
Friend Match: Play with friends in a personalized way.
Train with Bot: Training against artificial intelligence.
In AniChess, the classic chess moves such as castling, pawn promotion, and "En Passant" remain with one exception: castling is allowed even if the king or the squares it moves on are threatened.
The goal of the game: capture the enemy king, without the need for check or mate.
You gain 1 mana point per turn if you don't cast spells.
You can accumulate up to a maximum of 8 mana points.
Spells are a fundamental part of strategy, but they require calculated use to avoid running out of mana.
Blitz: 5 minutes with 2 second increments per move (5|2).
Quick: 10 minutes without increments (10|0).
Classic: 30 minutes without increments (30|0).
Lite: You can only choose 1 spell.
Classic: You can choose up to 3 spells.
House Recruit: Summons an additional pawn to the board.
Bishop 2.0: Places a bishop strategically, even if it has to pass over other pieces.
Parkour Mech: Turns a piece into a knight permanently.
Important: Pieces captured by a spell behave as if they were captured with a normal move.
The goal in AniChess is Kingslay, which means capturing your opponent's king. Unlike classic chess, there are no concepts of check or checkmate here, as spells can disrupt the flow of the game.
When the same board position is repeated three times.
If both players make 50 consecutive moves without a pawn being moved or a piece being captured.
You can also accept a draw by mutual agreement or resign at any time.
Stalemate: There is no possibility of a stalemate draw, as moving a king into check is not relevant in AniChess.
