Sulfur is an uncommon but very important resource in Subnautica 2. It is mainly used to craft advanced equipment and upgrades. It does not appear in the shallow areas near the Lifepod, so you will have to reach deeper and warmer areas.

The main Sulfur area is in the volcanic region, approximately 300 meters east of the Lifepod. This area has warmer waters, so it is recommended to have the Heat Tolerance Adaptation before exploring deeply.
Sulfur is bright yellow and usually grows near volcanic vents and rocky formations. Use the temperature meter to know when you are close.

Near the cave entrance that leads to Chap's Blackbox (at the edge of the volcanic area) there are several stone pillars with good Sulfur deposits. This location is ideal because you don't have to go too deep into the hot water.

Tip: Bring a Sonic Resonator to collect a greater amount of Sulfur per deposit. Be careful with the predators in the area and don't stay too long without heat protection.
