Fortnite has announced a major transformation of its monthly subscription. Starting December 5, 2026, Fortnite Crew members will receive between 1,000 and 1,600 V-Bucks per month, depending on how long they have been subscribed. They will also earn experience bonuses for themselves and their friends. However, these improvements come with a controversial decision: Epic Games will discontinue monthly exclusive Outfit Packs and bring the Fortnite OG Pass to an end.

On November 4, 2026, Epic Games surprised players with an announcement that will change how Fortnite Crew works. The monthly subscription currently offers V-Bucks, access to premium passes, and exclusive cosmetics.
The new structure will begin on December 5, 2026, and is designed to reward users who maintain their subscription for several consecutive months.
Although players will be able to receive up to twice as many V-Bucks as Crew currently provides, they will also lose one of its biggest attractions: the exclusive Outfits that came with the membership every month.
The decision represents a significant change for players who subscribed mainly to collect skins.
The biggest new feature of Fortnite Crew will be a reward system based on membership longevity.
Currently, the subscription provides 800 V-Bucks per month. Starting in December, however, all members will receive at least 1,000 V-Bucks, while those who maintain their subscription for more consecutive months will be eligible for higher amounts.

Epic Games confirmed four subscription tiers:
| Tier | Subscription duration | Monthly V-Bucks |
|---|---|---|
| Core | 1–2 months | 1,000 |
| Bronze | 3–5 months | 1,200 |
| Silver | 6–11 months | 1,400 |
| Gold | 12 months or more | 1,600 |
This means that players in the Gold tier will receive 800 additional V-Bucks per month compared to the 800 currently included in the subscription.
However, it is important to clarify that these V-Bucks are not a free gift available to all Fortnite players. They are part of a paid subscription that must remain active to continue receiving them.
The most controversial change directly affects cosmetics.
Since its introduction, one of Fortnite Crew's biggest attractions has been the opportunity to receive an exclusive pack every month, usually consisting of an Outfit and other cosmetic items.
These packs allowed subscribers to expand their collections with items that were not part of the usual Item Shop rewards.
However, Epic Games confirmed that December 2026 will be the final month in which an exclusive Crew Outfit Pack is distributed.
The company stated that players with an active subscription during December will be able to obtain this final pack.
Starting in 2027, Crew will no longer offer new monthly Outfit Packs and will instead focus more of its value on V-Bucks, included passes, and experience bonuses.
This does not mean members will stop receiving all skins: premium passes will continue offering their own cosmetic rewards. What is disappearing is the exclusive Outfit Pack previously provided each month for being a Crew member.
For players with collections of exclusive Crew Outfits, Epic Games also announced an important measure.
All remaining Legacy Styles from Crew Packs already owned by an account will be granted during December, even if the player no longer has an active subscription.

This measure includes styles for:
For example, if a player previously obtained a Crew skin but had not unlocked all its variants through additional subscription months, they will receive the remaining styles in December.
The important detail is that this applies to packs you already have in your collection. It does not mean Epic will give away every exclusive Outfit from previous months.
Cosmetics already obtained will remain in their owners' accounts and will not disappear simply because the service is being restructured.
Another major announcement concerns the end of the Fortnite OG Pass.
Epic Games confirmed that this pass will end on December 5, 2026, coinciding with the conclusion of Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season X.

Currently, premium access to the OG Pass is included among the benefits received by Fortnite Crew subscribers.
However, its disappearance does not simply mean Epic is removing it from the membership: the OG Pass itself will end alongside the current season.
The developer also announced that the next era of Fortnite OG will arrive in late 2027, although it has not yet explained all the details of its return or whether it will have an identical reward system.
Therefore, players interested in completing the current pass should keep its end date in mind.
As part of its new benefits, Epic Games confirmed the introduction of experience bonuses.
Starting December 5:
These bonuses are designed to provide an additional benefit to players who regularly play Fortnite and progress through its different reward passes.
However, Epic clarified that the bonuses do not stack.
This means playing with multiple Crew subscribers will not allow players to multiply the extra experience indefinitely. Players without a subscription will receive a single 10% bonus, regardless of how many Crew members are in the party.
Despite the removal of monthly Outfit Packs and the end of the OG Pass, the membership will retain several of its main benefits.
Epic Games confirmed that Crew will continue to include:

Some dates for upcoming passes were also announced:
Epic explained that future Music and LEGO Passes will return to their usual size after these mini passes and will be released more frequently.

One of the biggest questions is whether players who have been paying for Crew for several months will need to start at the Core tier before reaching 1,600 V-Bucks.
The answer is not necessarily.
Epic Games confirmed that existing members will start at a tier calculated according to the consecutive months they have maintained their subscription within the previous twelve months.
For example, someone who subscribed in June 2026 and maintained their membership without interruptions could reach the Silver tier during December, when they complete seven months of membership.
Therefore, members who have already been subscribed for several months will not necessarily have to start from scratch.
Starting December 5, players will be able to check their corresponding tier directly in the Fortnite Crew tab.
Additionally, players who already have an active subscription will not need to take any extra steps to keep it when the changes take effect.
Epic Games also announced a special opportunity for former subscribers.
If a player resubscribes to Crew between December 6 and December 31, 2026, their starting tier may be calculated using their most recent continuous subscription period within the previous twelve months.
For example, if they previously maintained their membership for three consecutive months, they could start at the Bronze tier and receive 1,200 V-Bucks per month.
However, this benefit will only be available during the special period announced for December.
Players who return after December 31, 2026, at 10:59 PM Mexico City time will start at the Core tier, and their previous subscription periods will not be taken into account.
This means players who canceled recently may have an opportunity to recover part of their membership longevity, provided they meet the established conditions.
Despite the modifications, Epic Games confirmed that the subscription's reference price will remain $11.99 USD per month.
No price increase related to this restructuring was announced for the United States.
In Mexico and other regions, the final amount may depend on currency, platform, and applicable billing conditions, so players are advised to check the price directly before subscribing.
This means that, for the same announced price in US dollars, players will receive more V-Bucks than before, but they will no longer receive a new exclusive Outfit every month after December.
The answer will mainly depend on which rewards each player values most.
For those who regularly buy V-Bucks and purchase Fortnite passes, the new structure could be attractive. Long-term subscribers will receive up to 1,600 V-Bucks per month, along with premium access to several passes.
On the other hand, players who subscribed mainly to collect exclusive Outfits will lose one of their biggest reasons to keep the membership.
The difference is significant: previously, Crew's value was divided among V-Bucks, passes, and exclusive cosmetics. Now, the subscription will focus more on rewarding long-term members with virtual currency and progression benefits.
It is also important to consider that the higher tiers require several consecutive months of subscription, meaning the 1,600 V-Bucks will not be immediately available to all new members.
The transformation of Fortnite Crew represents one of the biggest changes to how the membership works since its launch.
With the introduction of four tiers, experience bonuses, and up to 1,600 monthly V-Bucks, Epic Games aims to give players new reasons to stay subscribed for longer.
However, the end of monthly exclusive Outfits and the farewell to the OG Pass also mean losing important benefits for part of the community.
For now, the changes are not yet active. The new structure will begin on December 5, 2026, while that month's Outfit Pack will be the last of its kind.
