Fortnite raises V-Bucks prices in March 2026: here are the changes

Epic Games announced a change to Fortnite V-Bucks packs, the virtual currency used within the game. The changes will begin to apply on March 19, 2026, and will affect the amount of V-Bucks players receive when purchasing each pack.

According to the company, the adjustment responds to increased Fortnite maintenance costs.

Although Fortnite remains free-to-play, players who buy V-Bucks to acquire skins, emotes, or in-game content will receive less currency for the same price in several packs.

New V-Bucks packs in Fortnite

Epic Games published the official changes to the amount of V-Bucks included in each pack. Starting on March 19, the packs will be as follows:

In practice, these changes mean that players will receive fewer V-Bucks for the same price as before.

Changes to Fortnite passes

The adjustments will also affect in-game passes, which will now cost fewer V-Bucks to remain consistent with the new packs.

However, the Battle Pass will include an additional change: it will no longer include V-Bucks as part of the extra rewards that could be obtained during the season.

Changes to Fortnite Crew

Epic Games also confirmed modifications to Fortnite Crew, the game's monthly subscription system.

Members will continue receiving V-Bucks as part of their subscription, but the amount will change:

• Before: 1000 V-Bucks
• Now: 800 V-Bucks

The company has already started informing subscribers about this adjustment via email.

Chapter 7 Season 2 arrives on March 19

The same day these changes take effect will also mark the start of Fortnite Chapter 7 – Season 2.

This new content was originally planned for early March, but Epic Games decided to delay the launch to spend more time on development and ensure the experience runs correctly.
