Garena continues to revamp the Luck Royale system in Free Fire. With the arrival of the 2026 updates, the developer has begun permanently removing the Gold Royale and Diamond Royale modes, two of the game's oldest mechanics.

The change is part of a reorganization of the game's draw and rewards system. In their place, Garena is introducing new features designed to simplify the interface and provide players with a wider rotation of rewards.

Goodbye to Gold Royale and Diamond Royale

For several years, Gold Royale allowed players to spend gold coins to obtain skins, outfit bundles, and other cosmetic items through draws. Meanwhile, Diamond Royale offered higher-value rewards in exchange for diamonds or special tickets.

However, both modes have started disappearing from the Luck Royale section following the latest 2026 update. Various announcements from creators associated with the official Free Fire program, along with information available in the game client, confirmed that these draws will be permanently discontinued.

What will replace Gold Royale and Diamond Royale?

Garena has not removed the rewards system altogether. Instead, it has reorganized it through two new features.

Gold Vault

The main replacement for Gold Royale is the Gold Vault. This new section still allows players to spend their accumulated gold, but it changes how rewards are obtained.

Its main features include:

  • Allows players to spend gold coins to obtain cosmetic items.
  • Introduces a different reward rotation from the former Gold Royale.
  • Offers a simpler system with rewards that are refreshed periodically.

As a result, gold remains useful in the game, although it is now spent through a different system instead of the traditional Luck Royale.

Token Tower

To replace part of the rewards previously available through Diamond Royale, Garena has also introduced the Token Tower.

This system allows players to earn rewards by collecting tokens obtained from spins, which can later be exchanged for specific items. Unlike the previous system, it provides greater predictability, as players gradually progress toward a guaranteed reward instead of relying entirely on luck.

What will happen to Gold Royale and Diamond Royale tickets?

One of the biggest questions following the announcement concerns the tickets that many players have accumulated over the months.

According to the information shown during the transition, Garena stated that these tickets will not be lost. Instead, they will be adapted for use in the new systems, although their functionality may vary depending on the region and game version. For this reason, players are advised to check the official notifications within the Free Fire client to learn how the conversion will work on their respective servers.

Why did Garena make this change?

Although Garena has not released a detailed statement explaining all the reasons behind the decision, the removal of Gold Royale and Diamond Royale appears to be part of a broader effort to modernize the Luck Royale system.

The main objectives include:

  • Reducing the number of permanent draw modes.
  • Unifying the rewards system.
  • Offering events with more frequent reward rotations.
  • Making it easier to introduce new cosmetic reward mechanics.

This approach also gives temporary events a more prominent role within the game.

When will they no longer be available?

The removal process began with the OB54 update and has been gradually rolled out across Free Fire servers throughout 2026. Once the transition is complete, both Gold Royale and Diamond Royale will no longer appear in the Luck Royale menu and will be replaced by Garena's new systems.

What should players do?

Players who still have Gold Royale or Diamond Royale tickets should regularly check the Luck Royale section and the in-game mailbox to see how these items will be converted on their server.

With this update, Garena is bringing two of Free Fire's longest-running game modes to an end while introducing a revamped rewards system centered around the Gold Vault and Token Tower, which will become the new ways to obtain cosmetic rewards throughout 2026.
