Idle Champions Introduces Van Richten in Founders' Day 2026

Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms continues to expand its roster of champions with the launch of Founders' Day 2026, the seasonal event that introduces Rudolph Van Richten as a new playable Champion while rebalancing several classic heroes.

In addition to the debut of the legendary monster hunter, this edition introduces changes to the event structure, new cosmetic items, and the opportunity to unlock veteran Champions through the well-known Flex Slots.

Van Richten debuts as a new Champion

The biggest addition in Founders' Day 2026 is Rudolph Van Richten, one of the most iconic characters in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, particularly for his role in the Ravenloft campaign setting.

Van Richten is a renowned hunter of supernatural creatures who has dedicated his life to battling vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and other dark threats. His arrival expands the Idle Champions roster, which features official characters from Forgotten Realms, D&D campaigns, and other productions connected to the game's universe.

Founders' Day 2026 also rebalances three Champions

The updated Champions are:

How Flex Slots work

Founders' Day continues to feature the Flex Slots system, allowing players to obtain Champions from previous events without waiting for them to return in future editions.

During the event, players can choose retired Champions associated with Founders' Day and unlock specific chests to improve their gear.

• Xander
• Sgt. Knox
• Freely
• Walnut
• Strongheart
• Other Champions associated with the event, depending on each account's configuration.

New skins and cosmetic content

The event also introduces new cosmetic content inspired by a gothic theme.

Throughout July, players will be able to obtain:

What is Founders' Day in Idle Champions?
