All Switch 2 Games Announced (56 characters)

Nintendo's digital conference this September 9 brought a wave of surprises for players. During a 45-minute presentation, designer Yoshiaki Koizumi revealed unreleased previews, release dates, and updates for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The event stood out for combining major returns of first-party franchises with powerful third-party releases that will accelerate the console's catalog.

Metroid Ravenous: Return to 2D Action

One of the most notable announcements was Metroid Ravenous, a new side-scrolling adventure starring Samus Aran. This entry opts for a darker setting and a more intense action pace.

The game will be available on January 28, 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, accompanied by the release of a pair of exclusive amiibo figures.

Kirby and the World Beyond: The 3D Adventure for the 35th Anniversary

Kirby will return to three-dimensional environments with Kirby and the World Beyond, an entry that expands exploration with open stages full of secrets to discover.

This title will arrive in spring 2027 as part of the main celebrations for the franchise's 35th anniversary.

Monster Hunter Wilds and Capcom's Catalog

Capcom confirmed the arrival of Monster Hunter Wilds on Nintendo Switch 2 for December 4, 2026, including all previous updates. Additionally, the expansion Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance will release later in 2027.

The company also announced other titles for the console:

• Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 Gold Edition: Available starting October 16.
• Mega Man: Dual Override: A new entry featuring Mega Man and Proto Man as playable characters.

Final Fantasy VII and Atlus News

Square Enix and Atlus showcased key updates for their RPG sagas during the presentation:

• Final Fantasy VII Revelation: The sequel in the remake saga will arrive on Switch 2 on April 8, 2027.
• Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion: Available starting today on the console.
• Persona 4 Revival: The remake will debut on May 20, 2027.
• Persona 6: Atlus showed a brief teaser confirming its development for Switch 2.

The presentation included titles available the same day of the event, as well as free updates for existing games:

• Meccha Chameleon: The multiplayer hide-and-seek stealth title is playable starting today.
• Mario Kart World: Receives a free update featuring new routes for Knockout Tour mode and classic SNES tracks.
• Star Fox: Star Fox Adventures arrives today on GameCube for Nintendo Switch Online. The remake of the game will receive a free update on September 30.
• Pikmin 4: Will receive an enhanced edition for Switch 2 featuring voice commands and new Dandori Academy trials.
