
Nintendo's digital conference this September 9 brought a wave of surprises for players. During a 45-minute presentation, designer Yoshiaki Koizumi revealed unreleased previews, release dates, and updates for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
The event stood out for combining major returns of first-party franchises with powerful third-party releases that will accelerate the console's catalog.
One of the most notable announcements was Metroid Ravenous, a new side-scrolling adventure starring Samus Aran. This entry opts for a darker setting and a more intense action pace.
The game will be available on January 28, 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2, accompanied by the release of a pair of exclusive amiibo figures.
Kirby will return to three-dimensional environments with Kirby and the World Beyond, an entry that expands exploration with open stages full of secrets to discover.
This title will arrive in spring 2027 as part of the main celebrations for the franchise's 35th anniversary.
Capcom confirmed the arrival of Monster Hunter Wilds on Nintendo Switch 2 for December 4, 2026, including all previous updates. Additionally, the expansion Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance will release later in 2027.
