Parallel TCG Dev Update Entry 02 presents a new report from the Parallel Studios team with important updates on the game’s visual redesign, the progress of the Haven set, new playtesting phases, and the development of Parallel Colony.
The studio continues working on a full overhaul of the Trading Card Game (TCG) as several new features planned for 2026 approach, including the Haven expansion, new playtests, and the global launch of the mobile version.
In addition, this report coincides with a special moment for the project: on February 18, five years passed since the “yellow pills” first appeared on Twitter, an element that became part of the early lore of the Parallel universe. That post showed the first glimpse of Cytokinesis, the first card designed by co-founder Oscar Mar.
One of the main highlights of Parallel TCG Dev Update Entry 02 is the progress of the game’s visual redesign.
The team is working on a deep overhaul of the battlefield (playfield), along with multiple elements related to the interface and user experience.
Among the changes currently being developed are:
Full redesign of the playfield
Improvements to the deckbuilder system
Reduction of visual noise in tutorials and loading screens
Optimization for mobile devices
Adjustments to the interface and user experience
Although the game continues to use the same engine, the team has implemented code improvements and more extensive quality control processes to ensure the new design runs in a stable way.

New Augencore-themed playfield skins were also recently leaked, including two visual variants inspired by drills and wheels. These versions are still in development and continue to receive feedback from both players and the design team.
Because the redesign affects many systems within the game, the team decided not to maintain two different client versions and instead focus on increasing the amount of testing for the new build.
Another highlight of Parallel TCG Dev Update Entry 02 is the creation of a new testing group called the Playtest Task Force.
This group is supervised by Mookah and includes experienced players from different regions, some of whom have logged a large number of hours in the game.
The goal of the Task Force is to help the team improve the game before the release of upcoming updates. Their tasks include:
Identifying issues within the game
Reproducing bugs reported by players
Analyzing playfield performance
Evaluating the deckbuilding system
During the first weeks of work, the development team reported that feedback from these players has been especially useful for optimizing the playfield experience and improving the functionality of the deckbuilder.
Most of the testing has been done on the PC version, but in the coming weeks the Task Force will shift primarily to testing the mobile version of the game. This will include compatibility tests across different devices and server stability checks.
Starting in mid-March, the Public Test Server (PTS) will reopen so more players can test the new versions of the game and send feedback to the development team.
The report also shares early details about Haven, the fourth expansion of the game.
The first information about the Haven pack drop will be announced soon. In addition, some project Ambassadors will begin revealing cards from the set at the end of February.
According to the team, the Haven pack release is currently planned for mid-April.
Before its official launch, the Haven set will be added to the Public Test Server (PTS) alongside version 0.72 of the game. During this stage, players will also be able to earn rewards for helping identify bugs on the test server.
As the release approaches, more players are expected to join the game’s ecosystem.
The report also highlights the growth of the game’s community.
Two new Bonds have recently been added to the Echelon system:
The integration of these communities allows more players to access TCG assets and participate in the competitive ecosystem of the game.
In the case of OLA Guild Games, this integration opens the door for more players from Latin America to participate in the card lending system and compete on the competitive ladder.
These communities will also be able to take part in ecosystem events such as Parallel League, one of the game’s competitive tournaments.
The report also included updates on Parallel Colony, another project within the Parallel universe.
Over the past month the team has been working intensively to reach an important internal milestone that will bring the game closer to a more complete Open Beta version.
Among the recent additions are:
New progression checkpoints within the game
Improvements to tutorials
New accessibility systems for new players
New characters such as Skipjack
New constructions within the game world
The team also continues expanding combat systems by adding new enemies, weapons, and combat styles.
Although there is still work ahead, the studio indicated that Colony’s gameplay is currently in a better state than it was last month.
Parallel TCG Dev Update Entry 02 shows that the project is entering an important stage of development.
In the coming months, several key updates are expected across the Parallel ecosystem, including the full TCG redesign, the Haven expansion, new public playtests, and the global launch of the mobile version of the game.
After five years since its first social media posts, Parallel continues expanding its universe with new experiences and improvements across its gaming ecosystem.
