RavenQuest Rune Guide: Upgrade Your Gear to the Max

In RavenQuest, players can access different story modes, including a hidden option through the Journals menu (key "J").

This section contains the requirements to unlock hidden accesses in the game. Below are the most relevant Journals for obtaining runes and their locations.

+4 Runes

The first location is on Harbor Island; here, you must:

• Defeat any enemy on Harbor Island until you obtain the Earring item.

• Once obtained, head to the city.

• North of the Tradepacks, go up the stairs. Turn right and go up another staircase.

• Talk to the NPC Greedy Jackson located in this area.

This NPC allows the purchase of +4 Runes for all equipment except weapons. It is important to note that once the rune is placed, it will be Soulbound, preventing it from being traded.

Hadarak Location (Runes for Weapons and Shields)

To access these runes, you must first collect 5 Ankhs.

• The location is to the right of Darzuac, the main city of Hadarak.

• Enter the area, go down the stairs, and talk to the NPC inside the door.

This NPC sells runes for weapons and shields, granting:

• 5 Weapon Power points per hand.

• 10 points if using a two-handed weapon.

The price remains the same for one-handed or two-handed weapons.

+9 Runes

+9 Runes are unlocked later in the game. It is recommended to use +4 Runes first until you gain access to these upgrades.

Hadarak Location

These are unlocked upon obtaining 3 Ankhs in Hadarak.

• Go to the upper part of the Teleport to Dras Narda in Hadarak.

• Go down the stairs and walk to the right.

• Enter the door and talk to the NPC Karakash, located to the north.

This NPC sells runes for:

• Boots.

• Helmets.

• Moa breeding upgrades, slightly increasing the chance of obtaining skills and traits.

Other Runes

For the rest of the runes, access to Gilead is required, along with at least 20 Journal Runes.

To enter, a fee must be paid to the NPC Daphne, located up the stairs. Once inside, +9 Runes will be unlocked for:

• Armor.

• Legs.
