En RavenQuest, professions and the Boss Bounties system fulfill complementary functions within player progression. Both systems are designed to foster specialization, player interaction, and sustained character development at different game levels.

Professions: specialization in gathering and crafting

Profession Classification

Professions are divided into two main branches:

  • Gathering: allow obtaining resources from the environment such as minerals with mining, wood with woodcutting, plants with farming or hides and meats with Husbandry.

  • Crafting: focus on transforming these resources into usable items, such as weapons, armor, consumables or RavenCards.

Each player can choose and develop specific professions, which contributes to the creation of personalized progression paths.

Function within the economy

The collected resources and crafted items have multiple uses:

  • Player-to-player trade.
  • Production of necessary equipment for PvE or PvP encounters.
  • Advancement in missions or limited events.

This generates an environment where the economy directly depends on professional activity, and where certain materials or items are only available through the work of other players.

Boss Bounties: structured combat and specific rewards

What are they?

The Boss Bounties are rotating combat missions introduced in recent game updates. Each rotation features a boss that has already been previously faced in Story Quests, but now as an objective with direct rewards and specific rules.

Access Conditions

  • They can only be activated if the player has already completed the Story Quest associated with that boss.
  • They are activated through dialogue with Grandmaster Maxxor in Glademire Fort.
  • They do not require additional payment to enter.
  • To activate it, the second option is chosen; if it's not available, it's because the corresponding boss has not been completed.

Confirmed Boss Rotation

Among the bosses that appear as Bounty are:

  • Shark Goldenmaw
  • Myrdyr
  • Serafine
  • The Red Count
  • Blake
  • Lord Skorn
  • Igneas
  • Djinn Colossus
  • Elemental Jackals

This rotation occurs 3 times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Rewards

  • 15 Ravencrest Emblems per defeated boss.
  • Fame equivalent to more than 10 victories in Aether Rifts.
  • Opportunity to obtain additional loot and progress in daily or guild objectives.

Connection between professions and Boss Bounties

Complementarity in progression

  • The items created through crafting —such as equipment or consumables— are used by players active in the Boss Bounties system.
  • The resources obtained after completing bounties can fuel the economy and create demand for specific professions.
  • The Fame obtained in bounties is also useful for guild contribution; the more combined Fame, the greater the weekly rewards.

The design of RavenQuest proposes an environment where professions and structured combat through Boss Bounties mutually reinforce each other. Understanding how these systems operate not only allows for optimizing progression, but also for identifying opportunities to invigorate the in-game economy and generate profits.
