Silent Hill: Townfall takes players to St. Amelia, an isolated fishing village in Scotland in 1996. The adventure follows Simon Ordell, who must explore the area, solve puzzles, and survive different threats while trying to discover what connection he has to the village.

Completing it 100% requires paying close attention to collectibles and decisions involving enemies. Most items can be missed if the story progresses too far, as there is no free exploration afterward or chapter selection. Therefore, it is advisable to check each area before moving on.

How Silent Hill Townfall's Progression Works

The story is divided into six parts and 17 chapters, taking players through different areas of St. Amelia. The game does not allow players to freely return to previous areas, so collectibles must be obtained during the first visit to each location.

Exploration is one of the keys to completing the adventure. Before leaving a room or triggering an event that advances the story, it is recommended to check desks, shelves, side rooms, and areas that may appear secondary.

Additionally, the CRTV, a small portable television that accompanies Simon, has an important function. It is used to tune into unstable signals and can also help detect certain elements and threats during exploration.

All Collectibles You Need to Get

Silent Hill Townfall features 138 collectibles divided into different categories:

  • 85 clues and documents
  • 13 phone numbers
  • 15 strange postcards
  • 18 CRTV signals
  • 7 resource containers

Documents and clues are especially important because they contribute to the Discoveries counter, which directly influences the three main endings. The other types of collectibles also count toward completing the game and obtaining the corresponding achievements or trophies.

A good practice is to use the CRTV and check each area before following the main objective. Phone numbers should also be used when appropriate, as some are linked to the character who receives the number.

Puzzle Tips

Townfall's puzzles are integrated into exploration, and in several cases, the clues needed to solve them can be found in documents scattered throughout the environment.

The puzzles include mechanisms such as the dial in room 204, the electrical system in Zoe's house, the organ box, the clinic keyboard, the pharmacy locker, and the scales.

One of the most particular puzzles is the tape puzzle, found in chapter 10, during Missing Pieces. The recordings alter the state of the apartment, changing elements of the environment, enemies, and available items. The different configurations allow players to obtain the clues needed to progress.

For this reason, it is not advisable to try combinations at random. First, the documents that have been found should be read, and the changes caused by each element of the environment should be observed.

Combat: When to Fight and When to Avoid Enemies

Combat is particularly important because the number of enemies eliminated affects the system that determines the main endings. For this reason, killing every enemy is not necessarily compatible with obtaining all endings in a single playthrough.

For a first playthrough focused on 100% completion, one possible strategy is to collect all collectibles and eliminate the available enemies. This route makes it easier to obtain one of the main endings while progressing and registering the items required for the trophies.

In other playthroughs, it is advisable to reduce encounters and use stealth or evasion whenever possible. This is especially important during a second playthrough intended to obtain different endings.

How to Get All Five Endings

Silent Hill Townfall has five endings: Justice, Forever, Abandoned, Dog, and Sci-fi. The first three are the main endings and primarily depend on the relationship between enemies eliminated and Discoveries obtained through clues and documents.

The Dog and Sci-fi endings work differently and require specific actions during the playthrough. Therefore, attempting to obtain all five endings in a single playthrough is not the most practical strategy.

An efficient approach is to first complete a playthrough by collecting all collectibles and eliminating as many enemies as possible. Afterwards, a New Game+ allows players to reuse accumulated progress and prepare for the remaining endings. Collectibles also retain certain progress between playthroughs, reducing the need to repeat absolutely everything.

For those seeking all trophies, there is also a requirement related to completing a playthrough in less than four hours. The selected difficulty does not affect the trophies.

Tips for Completing Townfall 100%

The best way to avoid missing anything is to follow a consistent routine throughout the adventure:

  1. Thoroughly explore every room before moving forward.
  2. Read clues and documents immediately after finding them.
  3. Use the CRTV to check areas before leaving them.
  4. Call phone numbers when they become available.
  5. Do not assume that a secondary item can be obtained later.
  6. Separate playthroughs according to the ending you want to obtain.
  7. Manually save at important points during playthroughs intended to obtain multiple endings.

The key to 100% completion is not only finishing the story, but also managing the order of exploration and the number of enemies eliminated. With 138 collectibles, five endings, and different puzzles, Silent Hill Townfall requires players to pay attention to each area before continuing to the next objective.

The game has been available since September 24, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and PC, through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
