Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake Announced for Nintendo Switch 2 (59 characters)

Nintendo revealed the first trailer for the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time during its latest Nintendo Direct. Eiji Aonuma, series producer, presented the first gameplay preview and confirmed that the iconic 1998 adventure will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5.

The title will arrive fully localized with Latin American Spanish dubbing, remodeled graphics, and a symphonic orchestral soundtrack.

New Features and Gameplay Improvements in Ocarina of Time Remake

This version refreshes the classic experience by adapting control and navigation to modern standards:

• Updated controls: Allows jumping and running freely through new button commands, as well as controlling the camera with the right joystick.
• Voices and cutscenes: Expanded cinematic cutscenes feature full voice acting for characters and extended dialogue.

• Continuous day/night cycle: The passage of time continues uninterrupted in any location, including towns.
• Quest tracking: Includes an interface where a tapestry completes as you progress, allowing you to check story progress and current objectives.
• Ocarina mechanics: You can hum learned songs for Link to play them. The game will also be compatible with accessories like the new playable electric ocarinas launching later this year.

Special Physical Edition and 40th Anniversary Console

Nintendo will accompany the game's launch with special editions for players:

• Launch physical edition: Includes special packaging with a textured foil-effect cover, available while supplies last starting November 5.
• Nintendo Switch 2 (40th Anniversary Edition): The The Legend of Zelda themed console will go on sale on October 29, one week before the game's release.
