XOCIETY: the new free Web3 shooter RPG

XOCIETY is a third-person shooter game that incorporates RPG-style progression and a digital economy where players play an active role. Set in a sci-fi world, it offers an experience where every action creates real impact on the environment and the game’s overall ecosystem.

What is XOCIETY?

XOCIETY is a free-to-play title that combines tactical gameplay, character customization, and a digital asset-based economic system. Players not only engage in combat but also become part of the game's internal structure and decision-making, including governance, revenue distribution, and access to exclusive content.

The game model is designed to make all core content accessible without payments. Premium options are available optionally and do not restrict progression.

Strategic Gameplay with Continuous Progression

The gameplay system relies on third-person PvE and PvP combat, combined with an extraction mechanic. This mechanic introduces a risk-reward dynamic: players must decide when to exit the field with collected resources or continue in search of further rewards.

XOCIETY features a battle pass with two modes: standard (free) and premium (paid). The pass grants access to rewards like cosmetic items, boosters, and entries to special modes. It is also required to list items on the in-game marketplace.

Avatars and Collaborations

The main characters in the game are the Frontier Avatars, which provide access to exclusive content, closed tests, and reward generation. These avatars also integrate external collaborations, such as Pudgy Penguins and Pixelmon, which add digital cosmetics and items to the game universe.

Corporations: a Decentralized In-Game Economy

XOCIETY features a system of virtual corporations that operate as independent entities within the game. These corporations run internal businesses, generating revenue by selling products and services in exchange for the $XO token.

Currently, there are five corporations:

• Arena Star (AST): Entertainment and combat arenas. Earns revenue through ranked match tickets and battle pass sales.
• FusionEdge Finance (FEF): Financial services and energy supply. Generates income via $XO-to-credit conversion and cross-chain transactions.
• Global Merch Distributors (GMD): Distribution of items, resources, and fashion assets. Profits from the sale of cosmetics in the in-game store.
• Medi Future Health (MFH): Medical services and body modifications. Earns revenue from recovery items and gear enhancement features.
• Surgence (SUR): Tech and equipment manufacturing and trading. Profits from weapon, armor, and consumable sales and combinations.

Each one issues digital shares called XOCIETY Corporate Shares (XCS). These shares offer real benefits such as:

• Quarterly revenue distributed among shareholders
• Discounts on in-game items
• Voting rights and decision participation
• Free trading between users (no lock-up period)
• Access to shareholder meetings and other exclusive perks

Players can acquire these shares using XO-Points (earned through missions and leaderboard rankings) along with $XO. The value of each share is directly linked to the revenue generated by its corporation.

XOCIETY Economy

XOCIETY incorporates a functional economy where players can earn, use, and redistribute value within the ecosystem. Its main currency is $XO, a token earned through gameplay and used to access special modes, make purchases, and join events.

There is also NTx, a Soulbound Token (non-transferable) earned by participating in community activities such as quests, tests, and social events. NTx provides early access to key game benefits and will be converted into $XO upon the token's launch.

Active Playtest: May 15–23

XOCIETY is currently running an open playtest. This test, active from May 15 to 23, lets players explore the full game and claim permanent rewards.

Previous Playtest Results

During its previous test in July, XOCIETY achieved:

• 29,543 unique players in 8 days
• 18,115 peak daily active users
• 83.2% Day-1 retention rate
• Over 47,000 on-chain transactions

These numbers exceed industry standards and reflect a highly engaged community.

Persistent Progression

All progress in XOCIETY is persistent. Rewards earned in events, tests, or seasons —including $XO, NFTs, and items— are retained and not reset. This allows players to build their profile from the early stages and keep long-term progress.

Adidas has designed a special collection of 2,600 NFT mystery boxes for XOCIETY players. These NFTs contain exclusive character skins with Adidas clothing, including digital hoodies, pants, and sneakers.

Development Team and Backing

The game is developed by TeamNDUS, a team with strong industry experience, composed of veterans from studios like NCSOFT, Nexon, and KRAFTON (creators of PUBG). Key team members include:

• Sang Chung, former director at PlayDapp, the first Korean Web3 company listed on Coinbase and Binance
• Jeffry Kim, with over 20 years leading AAA game projects across Asia

XOCIETY has raised $7.5 million in investment and is backed by HASHED, Spartan, Sui Foundation, and KRAFTON.
