Complete Pet Guide for Lumiterra

In Lumiterra, having a pet is one of the easiest and most rewarding tasks. You can capture any mob as a pet, as long as you have the necessary materials. Here is all the information you need to achieve this.

Initial Requirements

Required Level: To unlock the Capture skill, you need to be at level 1 of the Farming talent. Pets will be housed in your personal farm, the space where you harvest crops.

Skill Location: The skill belongs to the Farming branch.

How to activate it: Go to the skills menu. Find the Farming section. Upgrade the Capture skill. Assign the skill to the quick menu (click the lightning bolt icon at the bottom right). Use the hotkeys (Q, E or R) to activate it.

With this ready, you can now start looking for the pet you want to capture, just follow these steps: Find the mob: Locate a mob in the area where it spawns. For example: Low Tiers like Metal Mutt on the beach.

Activate the ability: Use the assigned key to activate Capture (Q, E or R). Note: If the mob attacks you before falling into the trap, the ability will be cancelled. Catch the mob: Taunt the mob and lead it into the trap before the timer (2 seconds approx. a loading bar will appear) runs out. Once it falls into the trap and a lasso appears on the animal, you must: "Feed" the mob:

  • Use left click to give it the necessary materials, as if you were taming it (similar to Minecraft).
  • If the mob receives the required materials, it will disappear from the place and appear on your farm.

Caution: If you do not give it enough materials, the mob will be released and you will lose what you gave it.

How to equip materials for the Capture skill?

  • Activate the mouse pointer with Alt.
  • Click on the Capture skill.
  • Select the desired material from the menu that appears.

Materials needed to capture mobs

The accepted materials include all the drops from the three talents, that is, from gathering stones to drops from mobs in combat.

Minimum amount required:

Tier 1 animals: 6-7 items. Tier 2 animals: 12 items. Tier 3 animals: 20 items. Tip: Bring more materials than the minimum to avoid failures.

Pro tip: The pumpkins in the tutorial are ideal for collecting materials, since they have a drop rate of 18% and are the ones that usually drop materials the fastest. Here it doesn't matter what tier the mob and the material are, only the amount of the latter.

Pet management

Once you manage to capture your pet, you will find it on your farm, where you can decide what to do with it and start managing its care. Getting followed:

  • Head to your farm and talk to NPC Ollie the owlman.
  • Open the pet menu.
  • Select the Follow option. Note: If your pet accompanies you in combat and dies, you will lose it. Equipping a weapon to your pet:
  • Talk to Ollie and select Manage.
  • Choose the weapon you wish to equip.

Function of pets on the farm If you saw the Essence guide, you will know that in order to create combat equipment, two farming essences are required. These two essences are divided as follows: 1 from crops and 1 from the mobs we have

  • Crop essence: Generated by plants.
  • Mob essence: Generated by your pets.

Steps to obtain materials from your pets:

  • Petting with the brush: This increases their maturity.
  • Feeding: Places food on the plates in the corral.
  • Collecting the drop: Once your pet eats, it will start charging an orange bar, which is the production bar.
  • Once the orange bar is full, use the scissors to obtain the material. Every time your pet eats, it allows you to obtain 4 drops before needing to eat again

Crafting Pet Food:

  • You'll need to go to town and talk to the Farming NPC Terrance. In his menu, you'll be given the option to craft a bag of food, which can be used to feed either two pets or one pet twice. Materials needed to craft it: 1 Level 1 Energy Slime

With this guide, you'll be able to start breeding your own pets and start managing them to obtain the materials needed to craft your combat gear or maybe just to have a good companion wherever you go.

Good luck on your journey through Lumiterra!
