How to Mint Your Character in MapleStory Universe: Quick Guide

Finished the early quests? Leveled up a bit? Now it gets interesting—here’s a step-by-step guide to mint your character and unlock Web3 features like trading and exclusive rewards.

1. Getting Started: Complete the 4 Main Theme Dungeons

Your first major objective is to clear the following 4 Theme Dungeons:

• Ellinel Fairy Academy
• Gold Beach Resort
• Riena Strait
• Secret Forest of Elodin

Theme Dungeons are a series of connected quests that take place in a themed area. Just follow the questlines and keep grinding monsters in the area.

Open the guide with F1 to check your progress. You’ll know a dungeon is completed when you see a gold coin icon in the lower right corner of its preview.

2. 3rd Job Advancement

Once you’ve cleared the 4 dungeons, you’ll be close to level 60.

Follow your class quest to complete the 3rd Job Advancement. It’s straightforward—just follow the main quests provided.

3. How to Reach Level 65

Go to the Mushroom Castle Theme Dungeon.

• Complete all its quests
• Farm some mobs along the way if needed

With this, you’ll reach level 65 easily.

4. How to Defeat Easy Balrog

From the Reward Dashboard, select Balrog:

• Create a party (you can go solo)
• Enter the instance
• Important: Balrog is immune to damage until the timer reaches minute 17. Only then can you begin dealing damage.

It’s a required step for the minting process—don’t worry, the hardest part is over!

5. Use 5 Runes

Runes spawn naturally while you’re grinding mobs.

Tip: Activate them while doing Mushroom Castle. You only need to use 5 runes in total to meet the requirement.

6. Mint Your Character

Once you’ve completed the following steps:

• Reached level 60
• Completed 3rd Job Advancement
• Cleared at least 2 (ideally all 4) Theme Dungeons
• Defeated Easy Balrog
• Used 5 runes

You can mint your character via the event menu.

🎁 Minting Rewards:

• EXP Boost Ring +15% (local item)
• Coin Mount (only for your first minted character per account)

This also unlocks Web3 features such as item trading and character sales.
